What's it going to take for you to roam null sec?

personally, if gate travel was faster/easier, if I can get to anywhere in the universe within 10 minutes I would go to null sec all the time. At the moment, it's more like 30 minutes of tedious travel and 5 minutes of fun.

and no, jump clone sucks.

Very edited. I responded to the above text, but the above text is just the OP's own answer to the title'd question. So:

1. I did both pirate arcs. If there were more pirate arcs, I would do those as well. ... a Blood arc, strictly for intelligence purposes.

2. I live right next door to Providence. As soon as this round of can't-even-fly-the-ship-badly training is over, and I can get back to ignoring these forums, I'll roam around there. Live closer to nullsec and it won't take 30 minutes of tedious travel.

3. I'm red in Providence. If I were blue there, it'd be easier for me to look around for reds. And it'd be easier for me to do that if Eve had sov NRDS tools that my overview could be tuned to.

4. There's nothing worth stealing from any nullsec space - or any space. If there were anything that could be stolen, I might travel farther to steal from people I don't like - swoop in, smash and grab, and leave, with PvP as the ever-present surrounding circumstances of the affair rather than the only thing to do and the only way you can find anything shiny to put in your cargohold.

If there was stuff to do that induces tears/makes cash even when the inhabitants run away to handle urgent station side business.

If mechanics were geared towards gang/fleet combat rather than OMGBlob combat, one reason to blue everything within 50 jumps dissipates and there'd be more pew in general.

If sovereignty and the wars to get it was designed around the tactical goals rather than strategic goals and had massive maintenance as entities grow, need to blob diminishes and space holders shrink -> more holders -> more egos -> more blood!

roaming with very small gangs is fine imo, for medium sized gangs titan-bridge hot drops are a problem/deterrent.
