Have you ever tried to FC a group of mission runners and WH explorers? They never broadcast reps and instead yell on teamspeak for reps and whine when they get popped. Case in point in FW we had 8 logi's in a fleet on 80. We should by all means be swamped by broadcasts. Instead 3/4th of the time one of my shield transporters sat there unactivated because no one broadcasted, until a lone merlin down to hull wanted some love and he get 8 transporters full of it. Oh then a drake popped and cried in fleet chat because we didn't rep him. Now imagine that but 200 times worse. Go for it, I would love to see.

High sec is an anarchy and has no leadership. There is no way to motivate high sec to do anything especially to seek a costly revenge.

Part of that is the non-sense of the fleet UI.

You have 2 choices for one problem: save screen real estate to actually see your target(s) but can't distinguish the broadcast buttons apart; or increase your entire UI scaling and only see screen boxes the size of Everest.

EvE is really backwards on that stuff. A healer (repper) is suppose to anticipate damage and either prevent it or heal it. Not wait for others to tell them to do their job. It's no wonder why folks in this game are telling reppers they have to have fighting skills, they act like Rets having to offheal.

But, but, but this isn't WoW!!! Yeah, because EvE doesn't have the UI that can even compete (And if bots are attached to broadcasts to even repair, more so). They yell in voice because they're used to having a healer actually do their job, not wait for the other roles to tell them when and maybe even how. That's like a healer telling the FC and DPS when they can even do their job.

It's going to be interesting to play Logistics in this game.

Mining ships are like healers. They're really good for their role, but put them into a tank/DPS role they would die.

It's very clear what mining ships can and can't do, and CCP made sure those ships couldn't have dual roles.
