...is definitely not what's on the other side of the Violent Wormhole.

The wormhole seems to lead to somewhere in Fade.

And, according to the the DED (post #8), the Jove station where Sansha's fleet was see was some kind of decoy.

TBH lore wise Im expecting the Jove to have ceased to exist as a biological race and transfered their consciousness to sentiant machines, much like the one described in Templar One. Their experiments on other civilizations could be an attempt to use cloning-like technology to return to a biological race again. In any case they have been provocing attempts at their discovery since I started playing and an item that keeps people interested in the game with virtually no effort is not someing CCP is going to mess up by answering any real questions anyone will ever ask.

Pretty much what she said. Pulling the Jove card is a one-time trick, and I may add that it's a deadly one. It's the kind of thing a company does when it's desperate and only aims to die a bit later after losing all hopes to survive.

A mistery resolved is the same as a nullsec conquered: a colossal pile of nothingess, the culmination of a struggle "to do" by achieving the ultimate "nothing left to do".

Adding the Jove to EVE will be the last thing CCP does before EVE dies. To die is the first thing EVE will do if the Jove ever are added to it.

So in a way, I hope the Jove are never added once we get WiS, or just come ASAP whenever CCP abandons WiS. Twisted

Also, maybe Jove space opening up could be done a right way. What if that isn't Jove space? What if that area is the one way out of the New Eden Cluster to a whole NEW cluster of stars? What if "Jove space" was a temporary settlement which actually belonged to another ancient race? We don't know if New Eden really ends where the map shows. For all we know, the Jove are the gate keepers...or perhaps the wardens?

If I were CCP, I would say nothing. But every week, a system or two would vanish from Jove space. No longer on the map, no way to show info, as if it had never existed. This would continue until the Jove Empire vanished.

No official reason, no dev posts, no dev blogs. Silence.

The community speculation would be FAR more interesting than anything official anyway. :D

Its just a metaphor for devs playground. They are all seeing all knowing entities in EVE universe. No conspiracy at all.

Althought it would be cool if once per day (or week), there should be spawned one wormhole leading to Jove space (of course you need to scan it down). This wormhole would be only one way ticket and only for one pod. So "the chosen one" could explore this space as a tourist. And if he will be lucky, he could encounter those "gods" and can be destroyed, or spared and teleported to empire, or endowed with some nice gift... all would depends on mood of specific Dev/GM). Also in this system there should be pernament wormhole leading to random system in empire (also just one way, this WH would be displayed on local overview).

What do you think? Idea

I always felt that the Jovians should be more involved in the game, but still extremely mysterious and out of the reach of players. They should have a mysterious and even creepy nature to them, sort of like the aliens or men in black of EVE. Something you can easily form a conspiracy theory around with each siting.

Some ideas I've had. Keep in mind all of these are EXTREMELY rare events. Something that will only happen to the extreme minority of players.

1. Some exploration sites with Jovians in them. As soon as you go on grid they warp off, extremely quickly. Battleship sized Jovian craft align and warp off at the speed of a frigate. Smaller ships warp off almost instantaneously.

2. You're warping and suddenly a Jove ships begins to fly next to you or behind you. As soon as you land the ship mysteriously vanishes.

3. Some rare sites with mysteriously destroyed Jove ships. There are frozen Jove corpses around a few of them.

4. Destroyed Jove ship again, only this time there is a very large faction police/concord/npc pirate quarantine. This quarantine issues you a warning to leave. Failure to heed this warning results in your ship getting destroyed, oh and they pod you too just to make sure.

5. Jovian abduction. Extremely rare event that happens to less than 1% of the player base in their lifetime. Basically you are doing some activity, like jumping through a wormhole or stargate. Only you don't arrive at your intended destination. You actually find yourself in Jove space yet you are unable to do anything with your ship. Suddenly, a Jove Mothership flies up to you and pulls you in. You are then returned instantly and mysteriously to your original destination.

Something you can take away from this (and kinda prove it happened) are optional cosmetic effects. Maybe an odd scar or something for your character or a different skin for your pod or something.

This is a really cool idea; I've always liked the idea of encountering Jovians, but not ever being able to use their ships. Maybe something like this could happen in areas surrounding Jove Empire Space? And I feel like, if we ever were allowed in, it should be something very different from the area outside of it; no cyosural fields, no POS, no capitals allowed, and powerful npcs around gates in most parts to prevent camping. If it was "open" enough, the big alliances would take it over and leave nothing for other players. But if it was like this, it might be almost "balanced". And I'd absolutely love to be able to fight ANY Jovian ships; It would take a whole fleet to take down one of their battleships (if they even could!), and fighting one would be AMAZING. Maybe there could be missions in which you could fight them. And maybe we could have Jovian modules, as well; they'd be some of the strongest in the game, and would be VERY expensive. Although I feel like they could possibly release watered-down Jovian ships to players (weaker versions of the OP real ones; ex: "Paradox" instead of "Enigma", "Phantasm" instead of "Phantom", "Spirit" instead of "Specter", "Haunt" instead of "Wraith", "Shade" instead of "Visitant", and "Poltergeist" instead of "Eidolon" {Which, by the way ALL mean "Ghost"}Shocked) and keep the originals NPC versions as unplayables, too. I'd love to be able to fly something that looks as amazing as the Jovian ships at some time in the future; in the meantime, I suppose I'll just keep dreaming Big smile

In fact it was when the Amarr attacked the Jovians that it was revealed just how powerful the Jovians are. The subsequent ass **** that followed is what gave the Minmatar their chance at freedom.
