I had arranged with Simo to interview him at a time suitable for him around 20 minutes ago at 2300 Eve on 1st April. As such, I had spent the hours as I have done with every candidate preparing my interview so I was ready for him. Simo did not show up for the interview at 2300 so by 2305, I jumped onto the client to see if he was around. He explained to me at 2310 that he did not have a microphone and would not be able to conduct the interview. This is 10 past midnight local time when I would have loved to have been in bed. Especially seeing as I am about to head back offshore away from my family for two weeks tomorrow.

It may be worth considering this information when it comes to election day.

Some people only give a **** about themselves. Nary a thought crosses their mind unless it's about themselves.

Simo is apparently this type of person.

I'm glad to hear he cares deeply about responsibility and communication.

Not everyone is going to know who I am, or who the other candidates are for that matter, I am not running based on my popularity or how well others know my name, but rather my intentions to be a competent and attentive CSM.

Also, you would not know if I would become a deliquint CSM. You woulden't know that about any candidate until they were elected.

Did Xander organize to interview you at 2300 Eve on 1st April?

If Simo is suggesting he didn't book an interview he is a liar. I've put a lot of time into making myself as available as possible, staying up to 2 or 3 in the morning to accommodate different players and their TZ requirements. I'm going to leave this screenshot of the email conversation between Simo and I. I 'could' have photoshopped it but I can assure you I haven't. If I am accused of this by Simo I will look into seeing if CCP can verify the validity of the emails.

Simo was unable to interview before the 1st so I offered to interview him on the first. The rest of the conversation you can see on this link.

Needless to say, after the work I've put into this project, I'm more than a little upset that anyone would question my motives or my honesty. I've nothing to personally gain from slandering or promoting Simo. He simply chose not to turn up for an interview which was scheduled for a time which was suitable for him (and I may add, very unsuitable for me).

Well, lucky for you then that CSM duties don't involve proper and open communication or keeping to an pre-arranged schedule.

So if Xander accuses him of lying he can Just say "I never said anything like that"
You just wasted a players time (who has helped the community so much), who I am sure would have rather been in bed and then posting a stupid re post on the forums.

I for one can definitely say Simo is not a candidate I would put within 10 miles of my ballot.

Confirming this.

Xander has been the hero of the CSM 8 election, and was willing to stay up until 1AM purely to make the interview more convenient for me (because for some reason he thought I was US TZ). He's gone out of his way to provide detailed coverage and standing him up like this was disrespectful on a personal level and plain stupid on a political level.

Man, what a train-wreck. Xander has put in a lot of time and effort for the community, and produced some entertaining, informative, and personal interviews with the candidates. It's too bad Simo wasted that opportunity. It's pretty obvious he doesn't have the time management or communication skills necessary in a CSM. A vote for him would be a vote for an absentee CSM representative.

A professional astro-bastard was not available so they sent me.

Like I said, he just wants a free trip to Iceland. And like Veronica basically said, he wants his own agenda to where at least, he's practically invulnerable to being attacked/killed no matter which ship he's in. I'm sure he feels that this is HIS sandbox game and that if doesn't want any sort of pvp, then he shouldn't be attacked or harassed at all.
