after the success of my previous loans, I have gotten into margin trading more.

I have found frequently I will go to sleep only to see the sells market for the particular item has gone down 5% or more.

markets seems to get crashed often. How do i deal with this? wait until it goes back up? this is in jita btw

Personally, I just cut my losses and sell at the crashed price. If the margins still aren't good for that item after I sell out I will move on to another market.

Whether I dump at the lower price depends on the item, I find that some items tend to drop when the USTZ comes on, then recover during EU time, so with those, I just hang onto them.

5% movement is not uncommon during the day with many items either, so you can always just put them back up at the price you wanted to sell them for and wait it out.

If I was opportunistically cashing in on something *cough* badger II *cough* and the market has just renormalized, then I just dump them to get out of it.

Also, at weekends prices tend to go a bit....strange...due to the extra influx of weekend industrialists/missioners/explorers/whatever who just want to get rid of stuff before heading back to their usual weekday activities, with those, I just wait it out, or buy up the cheap stuff to resell during the week

Crashing prices can be due to Oversupply, Manipulation failing, To much competition and some one decides to crash dump and find better use of their time.

Have been researching this for the last few months.

You and us all are victims of bots. There appear to be people running scripts that are dominating and have basically shut down the entire market.

It's not just you. It appears as if EVE has been totally shut down by bot orders in market.

When an item gets a little too profitable it'll pop up on the spreadsheets of a lot of people and there'll be a sudden rush of people coming into your little market to try cash in on that profit. This tends to **** it into the hedge for a bit.

Just wait it out, as long as the demand is constant it's not like the supply has really changed, it'll get back to the old point with time it just needs to work out the kink.

That or move it to another hub wich will allmost allways be still at a higher price .

We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.
