Not the site, the weird glowy thing in the New Eden system. It's brighter than usual (at least, as I remember it) and pulsing with some red wave things. I got a screenshot. Is this CCP playing some sort of prank? I haven't seen it mentioned by anyone else.

I have old screenshots too, and it's hard to see the difference. Wasn't there some sort of lore development around the gate?

I can imagine the Devs conversation over this now.

Dev 1: Hey guys, I have this great idea for April Fools. You know that thing in New Eden, you know, the one NO ONE looks at? Lets make it glow strangely, and see if anyone notices.

Dev 2: That's dumb. No one will notice that. No one goes to New Eden anyway.

Dev 1: I know this one guy Petrus who does, and some of his friends. They will notice if it pulses with red waves.

Dev 2: BRILLIANT! Then they'll post about it on EVE-O and our prank will spread through the whole community!

Dev 3: No one reads the forums, guys.

Dunno about the game, but there was in the books. Been a few months since I read them, but I'm sure there was something wonky going on.

Looks normal to me. I've been to the Eve gate relatively frequently.

It should be visible as at least a very, very bright star in every system in EVE.
