New Pirate Corp

I am going to be starting a pirate corp relatively soon and I'm looking for potential members to help start the corp with me. Any experience is welcome, however less experienced pilots are preferred some can all learn together. A word of warning, piracy is not an easy lifestyle, if you like flying around hi-sec visiting trade hubs, piracy makes this VERY difficult so if you apply, be fully aware of the consequences. If this sounds like your sort of thing email me at: orfsyr@gmail.com.
For anyone curious as to what we will be doing as a pirate corp, basically it'll be any form of space terrorism you wanna do, ransoming, can flipping, ganking haulers, whatever you want :)

Edited thanks to helpful forum members Big smile

Those are the best. You'll regret not picking them up while they're pliable to your teachings.

Did I read that right? Youd rather want inexperienced people to start out a full on PVP corp?

HOW CAN YOU LOSE?! Amirite?

We were all noobs at one point. At least newer players are willing to learn.

My thinking was I don't want some ***** that runs home crying to mummy because **** got real Mallak. Yeah I know it sounds weird but like Tara said, they're willing to learn, and won't make me look like a noob

So you want inexperienced people who have never tried something. Then want them to roll with it even if they don't think it's fun?

I've been doing a project for a few months now where we only recruited new players. It's going really well.

I can also attest that if you get them while they're brand new you can shield them from some of the poison most terrible corps do their best to fill them with.

I've had incredible success bringing brand new players into my lifestyle.

My only problem is that early on I don't want to get left on my own because people got scared

This was a challenge for me when I started my own piracy corp out in NPC null. When you put new players in a challenging environment, you need to be prepared to do some hand-holding. Without it they can get bored and frustrated, and may quit or go inactive. For us, we resolved this by moving back to highsec and taking up highsec piracy. No regrets - we are getting more quality game content and exploding more ships (our own and other people's) than we ever did in null.

Assuming that you want to do your pirate thing in lowsec (correct me if I'm wrong, but it's usually the lowsec guys who use the term "piracy" without any qualifiers or explanations), you can probably make it easier on yourself by recruiting from the same TZ as yourself and by choosing your HQ carefully (probably a nice quiet, low traffic pocket located close to some rich hunting grounds). If you can find a couple of experienced guys with a little personal initiative who don't mind helping out the newbs, that will make a big difference as well.

Thanks for the advice, I do mean low-sec piracy. How does the hi-sec piracy work out? I've never really looked into it and thought it was was pretty much just suicide gankers...

There are a few different activities that I would categorize as highsec piracy.
  • Suicide ganking
  • Ninja looting/ganking
  • Wardeccing
  • Scamming
  • AWOXing

  • Those are the basics, anyway. Probably missing something as I hastily write this on my break at work. I'd define "piracy" in EVE basically as any method of getting other people's isk or assets when they would rather you didn't, and it can be done anywhere there are other players, not necessarily just in lowsec. Highsec is fun for me mainly because of the sheer number of available targets. When I was doing lowsec I found that unless you are hunting in Amemake you can roam for hours without getting a good engagement, and even then it was usually just pirates shooting pirates. To some extent FW has changed that, I think, but FW people don't make that great of piracy targets either.

Kinda wish you'd give a bit more information. (for example: corp size, timezone, rules)

Because I'd be sort of interested, but it doesn't seem like a promising endeavour as long as people have to tear every little bit of info out of you.

I'm sorry it's vague, but there isn't any of that information at the minute, the corp doesn't exist so it'll be as big as it'll grow. No rules that I've thought of, just don't screw each other over, and I run on EVE time +1 but I'm flexible :) why don't you mail me with any questions you have, I'd be more than happy to answer them
