Star Conflict is alright, but they borked it (IMO) by adding extremely long range sniper weapons. Instead of dogfights you get a bunch of snipers on each side focusing each other down. Depends a lot on the map of course.

perpetuum is really the only one like EVE. In many regards some could even say it IS EVE.... Although your first time in PvP you will see the difference. EVE is Strategic.... Perpetuum is Tactical. Been playing Perpetuum since launch here and EVE for a few years now. EVE is better in every regard except the PvP combat in my opinion. My 2 cents.

EVE is unique in many ways, so finding something that is like EVE is (in my opinion) impossible.
But i did fall in love with The Secret World because its so..dark. Its not dark in the same way as EVE..Its more..you run around and you react on watching devestation and enjoy the story as it evolves around you.

The skill wheel also caught my interest. There is no levels but you gain points as you go along. These points you can split out however you want in the skill wheel which opens up new abileties and equipment. And it allows for a lot of freedom. There is no "This setup is the best one" or "You have to be a tank!". You can switch between different specs, and a lot of the game will encurage that you use different spec's for whatever your fighting. Sometimes you need more heals, sometimes more tank, sometimes more DPS.. You get the idea.

The story i amazing on its own, many of the characters really got my interest and i felt the game..really catch me. The quests are also very unusual ranging with everything from investigation quests, to the regular "escort this person, kill this thing".
Only problem is the graphics! They are simply to good Lol It requires a pretty decent computer to run it, but if you have that, its really worth giving it a try just for the story and banging your head against the wall trying to solve the investigation quests Big smile

Not so much an mmo but i always get hairy for challanging racing games. my alltime favourite is the Wipeout series.
R.i.P Studio Liverpool :(
i love the minimal-futuristic designs on the ships and environments.

I still log to play WOW every few months since a lot of my RL friends play it, but thats all im going to say lol

Vendetta Online. It's a year older than EVE, was made by 4 guys in Wisconsin, and is on everything but the Ipad (and the Ipad version's getting close to being beta tested now). It's EVE if EVE used FPS controls and wasn't being run by a multi-million dollar company.

I also play MechWarrior Online.

I've been playing MechWarrior Online and War Thunder for a while now.

They're decent games that offer great action and PvP, but have been broken to various degrees by their latest patches. I've taken a break from MWO until they bring in HSR for ballistics, PPC and missiles (next month or so), and taken a break from WT until they fix the economy (next few weeks).

I play those games under the name Taurich

There should be a rather awesome pic here
