I noticed these sensor compensation skills. What do they do exactly? As a Caldari Pilot should I be working on Gravimetric sensor skills and how do they affect me?

They reduce to some degree the chance of you being jammed/dampened.

It doesn't help against being damped only against ECM. Indirectly it also helps against being probed out.
