The old name was not nearly as offensive as some of the stuff floating around out there, you just got noticed by some holier-than-thou fanatic who in turn reported it.

Ask them to change your name as they included a typo, makes no sense for the 'Citizen' to be plural ..

In short: Petition CCP to CCP for making a noob spelling mistake when they punished you for offending Jane Doe whose sensibilities are better suited for My Little Pony.

As for initiating the petition - When in game press the F10 key (Eve Help) - select 'new petition' button.

I didn't think the name was that offensive, but it was lousy none the less. Petition it, grab a dictionary and be more subtle.

I checked the previous name and it seemed extremely tame to me....pretty normal. Meh..


It's unfortunate that players aren't prompted to rename. Hopefully a petition can remedy that...otherwise I feel that it's discouraging to players.

generally speaking. players like your self with "offensive names" tend to be high sec war dec whores or similar.

when you pick on people who cant fight back in the "normal" ways of ever pvp they must use other tactics.. like petitioning.
you might kill some of their ships and take a few pods but they took your original name lol.

they won in other ways.

Frankly, I take joy in reporting players for terrible names and then see their name change. It is a special form of PvP that does not offer itself every day.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.
