Well guys, I had too much fun pvping and now I'm stuck at -3.2 sec status. From what little reading I've done I assume that the only way I'm going to be able to roam high sec freely is to rat in low sec? But, before I go off and spend hours of my time ratting I just want your blessing. Is that the correct thing to do? Thanks!

If i remember correctly you need to find battleship sized rats, lowsec doesn't really have a lot of those.

So you might be fine killing lowsec rats, it just won't be very quick.

Also, this might be a good time to start training the Fast Talk skill.

There is also a skill fast talk I believe which increase the ammount of sec received when you gain sec. If I'm wrong on the name it's found under social skills.

You gain sec status for:

The biggest kill in a system every 15 minutes.

So if you killed 500 frigates, 300 cruisers and 1 battleship in the last 15 min in a system...you will get a sec status increased based on that single battleship.

This is why it's quickest to chain battleship kills in null. Set up a loop of systems that takes about 15 - 20 minutes to complete. Then in each system, find and kill a battleship. Because it's in different systems, each battleship counts seperately.

This of course cna be scaled down to low-sec and cruisers...but it will take longer to get your sec back up.

Having said that you can do it just fine in low sec space, it just won't be as fast but you can still use the same "kill BS, move system" to an extend. If you just don't feel comfortable in 0.0 it's an option that works. Ideally you grab yourself a tanked bomber and you go to npc/empty/friendly 0.0 that suits the damage type if your bomber and go do it there.
