ME Reaserch time in a POS

Hi,

I'll be putting up a pos soon and I see that you can't run ME research for longer than 30days. Lets say a maller needed 40 days to get to an OK me, is it possible to research for 30dyas and then research again for the remaining days to get the desired ME?

Done tons of googling and can't see if this is possible. Or should I just go hunt down an NPC station to do it in?

Thanks,

Yes. Also, labs at a POS have a time bonus. So if your job would take 40 days at an NPC lab, it will take 30 days at your POS lab.

You can queue units of work on a blueprint up to 30 days in advance (Copying, Manufacturing, etc) at a time, minimum 1 unit. Each Copy, ME Level, Manufactured item, etc is one unit of work.

So if 10 ME levels takes 29 days and the 11th takes 3 more days, you can queue 11 levels but not 12 (because the 11th starts within the 30d limit).

It works just like the Skill Queue.

Most people overlook the little plus sign + next to the level input field.

The amount specified is in ADDITION to the current amount of research on the BPO.

Example: Research a BPO to ME 40 in +10 steps, with each step taking 30 days.
ME 0 + 10 = ME 10 when finished after 0 + 30 days = 30 days total
ME 10 + 10 = ME 20 when finished after 30 + 30 days = 60 days total
ME 20 + 10 = ME 30 when finished after 60 + 30 days = 90 days total
ME 30 + 10 = ME 40 when finished after 90 + 30 days = 120 days total

You can always do +1 even if it exceeds 30 days (example ME +1 on a titan is about 6 months). Same for copies (you can always make at least 1 copy of 1 run) and manufacturing at least 1 run.

Does this require having open research jobs? Say for instance I can manage a max of 10 jobs and I want to queue up copy jobs to start immediately after one has finished. Or does each queued job take up an available job opening?

Each queued job is a job that you have started, hence takes up a job slot.

I wish. It would make invention so much less tedious. Each queued job takes up one of your Character's slots from the time you accept the quote to the time you deliver the finished product.
