Thanks again for the interview, Xander.

For folks who are following along, I got my email confirming that I have 200 pre-election votes today. Thanks for the support, and I hope you all will come back and vote on the final ballot.

I've become kind of OC about the new player experience, and new player retention, and this is great news for me. You will enjoy a prominent position on my ballot.

Proud founder and member of the Belligerent Desirables.

I voted in CSM X!

Somehow I missed you in all the candidates, have just heard the podcast, liked it a lot.

Will be giving you a place near the top in the next round of voting :)

Thanks for all the endorsements and +1s. It's heartening to see the support that I'm getting, especially as this is my first time on the larger EVE political stage.

With that in mind, I can use all the help I can get here. Tell your friends! Ask them to vote and put me on their ballots, especially if they're not in a corp or alliance which pays a lot of attention to the CSM. I'll have an easy picture-filled "how to vote" post going up at http://warp-to-sun.tumblr.com/ when the second round of voting opens.

Ali, I hadn't notice you till now.

Ripard put you on his list rather highly, so I went and checked out your crossing Zebras interview and was very impressed.

In spite your relative "youth" in game, you've done a lot with yourself, and came across extremely well in that interview. You are far above average for a CSM candidate in your ability discuss and articulate concepts in a clear and intelligent manner. I like your perspective on Sov and representation of the Provi block.

I may just have to change my sig.

One question though:

How much time are you prepared to put into CSM 8? Estimates from current CSM are saying 15-20 hours per week to be an effective member. (Skype meetings, providing feedback, writing of minutes and other communications with the CCP and the playerbase.) Do you see yourself able to do this? Would you be one of the working CSM?

The only end-game content in EVE Online is the crap that makes you rage quit.

Absolutely, and I wouldn't have campaigned if I couldn't. I ran because I was already spending so darn much time metagaming and talking to people (corp IRC, mostly) even when not logged in. Right now, I'm spending probably 20-25 hours a week on the campaign -- I have a full time job, but I usually end up spending 2-3 hours per weekday on CSM stuff, with 4-5 hours spent on the weekends. Right now, most of that is being spent in writing and research. I'm doing a lot of outreach to other candidates and organizations I think might be interested in my platform, and separately I'm writing up ideas in order to show off how I think and what I'm concerned about. In the next few days I expect to move to mainly get-out-the-vote hectoring and catching up on the Odyssey stuff being posted by CCP right now (I've seen all of it so far, but I haven't sat down and crunched numbers yet).

I listened to your CrossingZebras interview. Shocked

Someone who is not a bitter-vet running!!! Someone who is excited about the game and its possibilities!

You need to be part of the CSM. I will bring your name you the attention of my Corp and Alliance.

Good luck.

At this time I would like to ask the candidates to think carefully about any endorsements that they give.

By putting other candidates on your ballot you are effectively giving them any excess votes you may have if you become elected or all of your votes if you are knocked out of the election.

So the choice of who you endorse and in what order you endorse them on your proposed ballot is very important.

Remember that these people are voting for you and a lot of people will rely on your proposed ballot.

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

Oh, I'm absolutely keeping that in mind. My ballot right now is generally those who I feel really strongly about (regardless of vote chances), followed by those who could use the votes and who have some good ideas, followed by those who I think are some combination of pretty okay and don't really need the votes. I'm still firming up the order and writing rationales. I'm following the general trend of voting for strictly non-bloc-supported candidates, as the good bloc candidates are doing fine on their own and I don't want to assist in the transfer of votes to their bottom rank.

And thanks (again!) for the endorsements, folks. I'll need all the support I can get here.

It is nice to see a person stepping up to represent the new player experience who can still claim to be a relatively new player.

If you could add one new portion or lesson to the NPE what would it be?

First off, VOTING IS OPEN GO VOOOOOOOOOOTE. I have made a helpful post (with pictures) to show how this whole thing works: http://warp-to-sun.tumblr.com/post/47113743772/csm-voting-guide-part-2-the-final-coutndown

Oh, yes, and I have a blog that I've been keeping at http://warp-to-sun.tumblr.com/ . It's neat. It'll be around post-election, regardless of the result.

I also have written up my own independent candidate slate. I've seen some concerns (most notably from Xander Phoena) about the idea of voting a bloc-free ballot, and I respond to them here. TL;DR: this whole thing has been turned into a prisoner's dilemma, and it's up to you to vote with your conscience or strategically.

I want players to learn a bit more about the PvP side of life, or have an opportunity to. Ideally, that would include learning some of the basic tactics of a PvPer (use of d-scan, patience, using/gathering intel) and at least one case of total unexpected ship loss, followed immediately by the lesson in how to recover mentally and cash-wise. In the best world, this would produce newbies who're less likely to quit after a gank and more likely to try PvP, null and lowsec living, and undocking during wardecs.

I too endorse Ali Aras.

However I warn Ali i'm going to give her the hardest time on Declarations of War if she doesn't dazzle the playerbase with communication ;)

Btw that is a very very good answer to Mike's NPE question. +1

Thanks for the +1, and if I'm not awesome at communication I will 100% deserve it ;-) I'd love to come on and hang out with you there.

And thanks to Issler as well.
