Are Jump Clones Meant To Be Able To Move?

I noticed something a little strange the other day and just thought I would see if anyone else had the same experience. I left my jump clone in a station in factional warfare space a while ago, the other day I went to jump back into it and found that the jump clone had been relocated into Amarr high sec.

I didn't think this was normal behaviour for a jump clone and wondered if this has happened to anyone else. The only explanation I can think of was the system was flipped to the opposing milita control, although it still seems to be under the same control as before when I just checked.

The people who own the station can evict you. The game then moves you to a safe station so you don't end up clone-less.

The very sun of heaven seemed distorted when viewed through the polarising miasma welling out from this sea-soaked perversion, and twisted menace and suspense lurked leeringly in those crazily elusive angles of carven rock where a second glance shewed concavity after the first shewed convexity.

Hmm, so it seems like the Amarrians must have flipped the system and evicted my clone. The thing was it sent my clone all the way into Amarr high sec where I get shot on site by the navy. Seems a strange mechanic.

Are you talking about your Med Clone? A jump clone should stay where it is.

Med clone is the clone you wake up in after being podded. Med clones can be deactivated by station owners.

A Jump clone is a clone you can jump to for fast travel. It can not be evicted and it will stay where it is.

I thought Jumpclones were just what capsuleers use when they want to play basketball...

This sudden realisation seriously hampers my plans for the EVE sports league...

BoBwins Law: As a discussion/war between two large nullsec entities grows longer, the probability of one comparing the other to BoB aproaches near certainty.

No, I'm talking about my jump clone. It was located in the minmatar amarr low sec systems, now it is in Amarr high sec. I'm not sure if the system it was located in was flipped and that could have caused it. The annoying thing is it has been relocated into the depth of Amarr high sec where I get shot on site by the Navy and have no ships located.

So ?

Use your pod to get out ?

Fit an atron for 1.6sec aligntime and get out ?

The faction police is pretty much no issue at all, unless you make it one.
Which you do.

Reading Comprehension please (or do you troll every thread?)

OP - my understanding is the same as everyone elses - your jump clone should have stayed where it was. Unless you're confusing the two types of clones (it happens) or mixing up your facts (also happens) this was a very weird bug.

Getting out isn't a problem, rather an annoyance more than anything as I will have to do multiple jumps to get back to minmatar space enless I travel in a shuttle through low sec.

I just wondered if this is usual game play mechanics. It seem it is not which is pretty strange. I would petition CCP on it but then they would probably take 2 weeks to respond which would be too long.

And yes it is definitely my jump clone. My medical clone is located in a different system in Minmatar high sec still.

How sure are you of this? I logged into a character that hadn't been played for 4 years and found 3 letters in the mail about revoked clones from 3 different null stations.

I'm sorry.
It sounded to me like you had an issue getting out.
My mistake.

That your clone got moved to Amarr is kind of funny, though.
I'd still petition it. Even if it takes two weeks,
at least you got an answer then and can tell it others too.

Well I returned 3 weeks ago after almost 2 years and my JC in 1V- was still in place and I used it to offload a Hyperion and some guns then I flew my trusty Velator out as I didn't need to be there anymore. Lost the Velator to a bubble gate camp cause I got used to not seeing my gate warp points. I ejected and warped away leaving my Velator to die, yes that was funny. So meh who knows maybe Faction war has different rules.

I'm not to worried about this issue but if you are maybe scour the dev blogs see if they changed it. Or maybe petition it.

That mail refers to medical clones, not jump clones.

You can't (to my knowledge) evict Jump clones (FW might be different, but I don't see why it should be).
That's why one of my alts can have a jump clone in a hostile (formerly friendly) station to sell things.

Come on, give the poor guy a break. You dump him wherever you want, leave him, and expect him to stay there for days at a time while you go and do something else? The jump-clone's got a life too, ya know.

Give a man a match and you warm him for a day.

Set a man on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life!
