Why?

I've been out of the game for a month so I'm not clued in on all the conversations with the inner circle.

Boring Answer: I don't think it was ever their intention to stay in FW for the long term.

Fun Trolling Answer: It's because if they stayed in FW they would have continued to lose members at the walls of Fortress Eha!

Ev0ke's been bleeding members since their stupid decision to sell out their allies for tech. They went from 2k members to around 800 before they left Syndicate. Since then, it's been a slow bleed.

As to what the hell they're going to do now is anybody's guess. Back to Syndicate maybe. One of the comments on the Mittani article said that they were going to invade Cloud Ring, which patently ridiculous, no matter how I try to approach it in my mind.

Advice to future would-be sellouts and other people who want to 'free themselves from the chains of sov warfare': Syndicate is where alliances go to die.
