aslong less than 25 % of all elegible voters actually vote is will stay that way , not to mention easily manipulated
only thing the candidates are after is a free trip to iceland anything else is irrelevant and even then who in his right mind would want to go there
anyway if there is a option to vote blanc i will otherwise , the CSM elections can go somewhere where the sun doesn't shine

I have already spent more time on getting elected than it would take for me to just earn some extra money and go on a proper holiday. As you are already aware.

So obviously, you're only just trying to talk down the CSM because you know that there's no way you'd ever be able to get elected and you're just jealous.

Ugh how did that happen - that'll teach me to try and update something at midnight right before going to bed. I'll fix that when I get home!

Cool color indicators all worked, as did the mouse-overs ... just the speech bubbles were screwey.

Were all candidates included/contacted for the vote match? These seem to be a few missing.

Not every candidate answered Deirdra's call to do this.

As mangala pointed out - all candidates were contacted (most multiple times) but several opted not to participate. They can still fill out a profile and be included though! :)

It boggles my mind why someone who was trying to run for CSM wouldn't want the exposure, but hey.

Thanks for a great tool!

Some of them are probably confident they already have sufficient votes.

Great tool. I especially liked being able to read the comments by the candidates on WHY they answered the way they did, and sort out all the questions in the match table I didn't care about. Even though my chosen candidate was lower on the match list than some others, the comments in the table helped me understand why, and I was able to form a more educated assessment of their position.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

This is a lot better than last year's, IIRC. Great work. Interestingly, the two people I endorsed were also the two at the top of my list. I also like the "essay" answers that were allowed for each question so if I had an opposing opinion I could see why the candidate answered the way they did.

A professional astro-bastard was not available so they sent me.

Yes I agree that the new question format, and the questions we gathered (thanks Mike deVoid!) are a big improvement. Did you also see the candidate profiles we offer now? :)

Yeah, I'm avoiding work at the moment weeding through these people to find my top 14. I knew who I'd be placing at the top of my list and who I simply wouldn't bother voting for quite early but it's also important to have a good stock of fallbacks for this style of voting. Your site provides something similar to a "voting history" in U.S. politics (yes, I know the analogy isn't exactly good for anyone except Terrible Trebor, but whatever) upon which to make these choices and the profiles function as a "meet the candidate".

Again, excellent work.

That's strange, Sala's answer to the "suicide ganking in hisec" question and his comment are inconsistent. Mistake perhaps?

Yup also noticed this, got a good match so I was surprised when that came up red.

Then saw the response to the inflation question which left little room for doubt, or votes. Only saving grace is luckily CCP won't listen to CSM on such an important point so it's really moot, although does convey a bit of a lack of understanding.

Edit: After reading other candidates responses it seems the inflation question has been a bit misinterpreted by many candidates as CCP directly tampering with the eve market, rather than tweaking loot drops and introducing ISK sinks to nudge the economy in the right direction.

Best thing you can do in such a case is contact the candidate. He might have made a mistake, or he might interpret the answer differently.

Pretty awesome. Had 70-85% overlap with my top 4, but I seemed to disagree with all of them (to some extent) on questions relating to how CCP should allocate their resources. Otherwise, I'm pretty confident my interests will be represented.

Thanks for putting this together. o7

Meh best hit was 63% which was a goon so will assume trolling and will counter troll by not choosing, obviously. Second was Malcanis with 56% which would have been my choice anyway.

Really dissapointed in the candidates this time around. Not seeing anyone worth voting for. Usually a big advocate of the CSM, love keeping up to date on the meeting minutes, proposed ideas, and such, but after reading through the CSM candidate platforms this year, the only feeling I was left with was "Meh."

Might not even vote with my accounts.

I took the compatability test and it said I should vote for myself. Ugh
