In Guristas/Serpentis space, I recommend the Ishtar. Might as well use it instead of the Proteus, unless you are dead set on the nullifier. CPU is tight, but it works.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Prior to t3 i had a good long, months, roam in 0.0 with a pilgrim. Gate camps tend to be really obvious if you learn to use the map. Fitting a small remote armor repairer to any drone boat will dramatically cut down on losses.

If you want a really cheap run and don't mind losing the plexes you can roam forever in a retribution.

Thanks. Definitely useful intel to understand the benchmarks I should be aiming to hit. 550 dps with a laser cruiser is going to be pretty tricky.

I use a Proteus fitted with cloak and Nullifier. Its sort of my deep space exploration vessel that I can take anywhere and can escape every situation. Same ship and fittings (more or less) from when I begun this little project. What I imagine your idea to be is similair to mine when I started doing it. I stock up on ammo and probes, find a WH and jump straight in. Find the exit into null/low whatever and just keep travelling this way. Scanning for juicy sites along the way, being a pest in Sov system, interacting with locals, and all the while exploring New Eden. I'll deploy and be gone for a good 3-4 weeks at times but I havent done this in a few months.

Do eet! You wont regret the adventure

I also kept a sort of captains log on my travels, its good to go back and read once your done

How did you stay stocked up on ammo? What were the most dangerous things you encountered and how did you survive them? More tips please Lol

If you don't mind not being able to do any of the harder nullsec plexes I could see this working.

You could also drop the TC for a scram if you wanted to, but I honestly wouldn't engage anything other than a hauler or mining barge in this.
