Im currently in a corporation based out of caldari space so i initially did a bunch of caldari quests. some of these quests involved killing minmitar quests. eventually i got the first 2 "storyline" quests started as caldari faction but since i like minmitar ships and weapons i want to change to that. I have been doing republic security services quests in minmitar space for days now with other people in the corporation. my standing with the RSS has increased to almost 2 but the minmitar republic is still at -.5.
my questions are thus:
How do i get minmitar republic relations to improve?
How do i get the storyline to change from caldari based to minmitar based?

The first thing to do is train Diplomacy.

Level 0: -0.50
Level 1: -0.08
Level 2: +0.34
Level 3: +0.76
Level 4: +1.18 <= can do level 2 missions

Then there is Sisters of EVE arc "The Blood-Stained Stars", and choose Minmatar. Otherwise you can do lots of Sisters of EVE storyline missions.

Do missions for a Minmatar corp instead of a Caldari one.

every 16 missions with a corp will get you a "storyline" mission that will raise your standing with the whole faction. I'm not sure if missions completed as part of a fleet work for this. Courier missions are pretty fast but boring, they will get you storyline missions faster.

Train "diplomacy"

Look up the "Faction standing repair plan" If you can stomach the tutorial missions they will help, if not skip them and get right to the "Data hub"? missions. I forget off hand what they are called, but you talk to an agent in space and then go pick up some stuff then turn it in for massive standing increase. Just do the lowest level of tags, those are the cheapest. You will need a few million to buy the first set iirc.

Also the sisters of Eve arc "blood stained stars" is a good faction bump. Takes a week or two if you dont blitz it, and has some great backstory.

Take all of what I have written w a grain of salt. Its been a long time since I have done any faction grinding. Well NPC faction grinding.
