CSM Vote Match is now open for business!

What is Vote Match
Vote Match is a website I've run since the CSM4 election which matches up users to CSM candidates that most closely match their opinions and views on Eve after filling in a questionnaire about the game. This year I've completely rebuilt the website from the ground up, and it shows!

What's new
The new version of Vote Match features a greatly improved questionnaire which is also available in Russian, German and Italian.

Additionally, we've also set up more elaborate candidate profiles that you can easily browse and give you much more information about each candidate. The candidate profiles also feature social media buttons so you can easily promote your favourite candidate(s) through platforms like Twitter and Facebook.

Lastly, you can also compare one candidate's choices with all the others.

Vote Match can be especially useful when you're not too familiar with all the different CSM candidates and what they stand for.

Don't forget to cast your votes in the pre-elections now and the real elections later!

Is that just where you endorse one of the candidates?

Damn, got good matches from 2 players I didn't know were running, and dealbreakers from two I planned to vote for.

Outstanding tool, thanks for your time and effort.

I think some of the first questions are slightly missleading. I'm getting a worse match with certain candidates because I don't have the same experience as them. What I do in EVE doesn't necessarily mean I want a person of the same aspect of the game to represent what I want to happen to the game.

Basically I'm getting 'terrible match'es where I should have gotten a great match. The questions are more directed at what you do in EVE rather than what you'd like to happen to it.

E: i stand corrected

The answers you give in the survey only indicate which answers you will accept from a candidate to that question - not necessarily what represents your personal way of playing. That's why it says

Quote:
Answers I will accept from a candidate:

Additionally, you can choose to exclude questions on the results page. Simply select the questions with their little checkbox and then click the button that says "Question options" and select "Exclude selected questions". This will mean those questions will disappear and they will not be counted towards your matching score.

All I know is that I'm definitley not voting for Malcanis. :) His idea of rational posting isn't what I would call rational in the traditional sense of the word. Artctura is the only one who has a stand out platform from my brief look at them all.

I think your website is down, just finished the survey but keep getting:

This page can't be displayed

•Make sure the web address http://match.eve-csm.com is correct.
•Look for the page with your search engine.
•Refresh the page in a few minutes.

Just wanted to let you know.

Yeah I noticed that too :/ And the server was doing so well too. Gah!

I hope it comes back up soon. Meanwhile I'll try to set up a mirror.
