A well placed spai can turn the tide on a conflict and provide valuable intel (or lolz). What techniques does your corp use to reduce infiltrators?

- Avoid recruiting toons close-to a 0.0 security status (they aren't running missions or pvp'ing)?
- Ask for a full API key, and examine mails & money transfers in/out of the toon?

I suppose the first step to avoid and counter infiltration is to not post anything even remotely relevant to the work where it can be publicly viewed.

The very sun of heaven seemed distorted when viewed through the polarising miasma welling out from this sea-soaked perversion, and twisted menace and suspense lurked leeringly in those crazily elusive angles of carven rock where a second glance shewed concavity after the first shewed convexity.

I have spais in both Lords.of.midnight and Kraken.

I. am. everywhere.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Mine doesn't let anyone in that uses the word "toon".

Nope, lots of people have around a 0.0 sec status due to pvp'ing in low sec and grinding it back up often.

Pointless - the API key is a joke to anyone competent at corp infiltrations. They'll have several accounts just for that purpose and will never be caught by that.
Also a lot of players with no intention of spying refuse to give a full API, if you ask for that you're turning down potential players who'd willingly give a limited key and throw hours into flying ops for your corp every week.

Just accept that if you recruit you will have spies. Having a corp full of spies hasn't done the current biggest alliances in the game any harm as they know how to manage roles / access to important things.

We use hammerheads. Anyone who uses infiltrators in our corporation is laughed at. EM damage is sub-optimal for serpentis.

However, spies often aren't actually that big of a problem. The real problem, is when corps with a lot of assetts give these spies too much access, be it to corp/alliance assetts, command channels, or FC comms. If you run your fleets and such with proper organization and safety, general members in the fleet won't know much more than 'set destinantion to X' or 'DONT JUMP THROUGH THE F'ING GATE', and thus your spies won't have much to pass along.

IMO the question isn't 'how do we avoid spies', it's, how do you choose who you can really trust. Once someone figures that out, chaos will ensue in Eve.

Please, judging by most nullsec alliances you need to be a director before they teach you 'DON'T JUMP THROUGH THE F'ING GATE'.

Its CCPs fault. They put the buttons too close together so its easy to misclick when youre drunk.
But then again, CCP is controlled by the goons, who are a nullsec alliance.

Somehow your post is making sense.

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

For that very reason every time I am in warp I hit command space. On the chance that I hit Jump instead of warp it will cancel that jump and I will still be at 0.

Keeping out spies is like running away from a bear. Your security does not need to be absolute...just better than most of the other corps in your alliance. Spies tend to gravitate (most of the time) to the terrible corps as they are much easier to penetrate, and typically give greater lolz when you turn the knife.

To get into the bad corp is easy. To break them is easy. The better corps even if you get inside tend to have more in the way of redundancy meaning any attack while being a genuine setback tends not to cripple them in the same way.

And yes I do have spies within enemy alliances. And I have absolutely no doubt we have spies within our own. Just the other day our whole fleet was listening to GSF comms while they were trying to figure out where we fleet disappeared too. Admittedly that was not my spy but it was amusing.

I drain ducks of their moisture for sustenance.

Somehow i always had the illusion CCP is more or less controlled by some icelandic booze manufacturer... But then that might just be my imagination and/or wishfull thinking.

Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

Pretty much this. I think about 60% of TRIBE are spais.
