Also what ship were you in?

Took me a while to understand that OP has a typo in his name. There is nothing on the record (yet) for "TheTravler"

Strange how I found it. http://eve-kill.net/?a=pilot_detail&plt_id=565664

Convinced it's a newbie flying a purchase.

My link only shows events in 2013. What I meant is: There is nothing about this recent event, yet. There is older stuff though.

I recall reading a thread like this a few years ago where a ship is "lost" on docking or undock. If all of the facts are straight in this case, it's possible. I would recommend that this at least be petitioned.

True, but I remember my 'early days' and doing this exact same thing, and it was so late at night and I was so tired and just simply had not noticed I went a few jumps in my pod. I remember asking my Corp leader why a got a CONCORD Mail and a Rookie Ship when I docked. Lol

Please petition it. Here in GD will you only get trolled.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

No kills or losses since June 2012.

EDIT: Also, character was quite active for several years in Null with over 55 kills.

Newly purchased toon ??? Smacks a bit of it to me.

No, not newly purchased. I did reactivate my character yesterday though. Coming back to try Dust. I'm just glad it wasn't my Tengu or Hulk that the station ate haha

Yea, It was a year before I saw the typo. I was trying for The Traveler from Star Trek. You know, the guy who can warp with his mind.

I wouldn't say active for a few years... I was active in 0.0 for the first time this past summer. The rest was either in High Sec or WH space.

If you have no loss mail or logs I would petition that. However the docking radius is 500m not 2500 like a lot of people think, so using the auto dock may put you outside of docking range, giving a ganker the precious second they need to kill you.

I don't think they would have been able to instant pop my Oracle in a 1.0 system. I did not hear any audio. I landed at 0 and docked.

During the docking sequence, due to a surge in the station tractor beam power transfer overlay, your ship was pulled off course, striking the station exterior. Unfortunately, the impact ruptured a plasma conduit adjacent to the warp containment field causing a localized, but catastrophic explosion destroying your ship and all of its contents. Fortunately Scotty was able to quickly insulate your pod behind a hastily, but expertly constructed forcefield array. Your pod was then docked normally and everyone pretended like nothing happened, hoping you wouldn't notice until after their shift was over.

Main reason why I'm getting back into the game was because I have been watching Star Trek DS9 on Hulu non stop for the past 48 hours....

Been watching a show about a space station only to have my ship destroyed by one... haha irony

Actually it wouldn't be difficult at all (they only have the hit points of a cruiser after all), and in Jita the inevitable lag could easily cover the time necessary for the attack to actually show up for you.

It might also interfere with the generation of a kill report come to think of it (though unlikely). I know someone else asked, but just to be clear, you are checking the kill reports tab on your actual character sheet... with the drop down box set to "losses" right? Not your EvE mails.
