new rookie ships

so i just realized that they now have pirate faction rookie ships and was wondering if i should wait a month or so to buy one so the price drops or buy them sooner. are these ships in extremely limited numbers? i heard that they were from an event called PAX east or something. its not a matter of if i should get them its a matter of when because im buying 2 for sure

You are correct, these ships were given out at PAX in very limited numbers. Since we have no offical word on wheter or not us mere (im-)mortals will get a chance at getting them elsewhere at some point, it's safe to say that it might be a good idea to get them now.

If you are willing to pay between 420-600 mil for a rookie ship that is.

The price for those ships right now is the lowest it will ever be. The price will only go up as time goes on.

If you are a collector/trader you can invest 400 to 800 mil now and in a few years make a lot in profit (several bil at least). However if you plan on just using it as a rookie ship, I would advise against it. For one...it's a rookie ship... and two people will be happy to (suicide) gank anyone that is flying in it.

I was kind of hoping I'd be able to fork over like 15 mil at a station to trade my free rookie ship into a pirate version. Kind of as a direct isk sink.
