FW. It's just not fun to me. Any PvP suggestions?

CCP puts a strong emphasis that this is a multiplayer game. Therefore, most activites really benefit from having some friends nearby. So basically you have two possibilities to adapt to it:

a) The expensive "looks like solo" alternative: You get an off-grid booster and some expensive implants to simply surprise the enemy with crazy stats (usually with regards to ships speed) of your ship which he never would expect. You naturally have to learn how to take benefits of this by splitting the enemy blob and killing them one by one.

b) The cheap "blob" alternaive: Make sure your friends are not more than one jump out... find any target, engage and just try to survive until your friendly blob arrives to kill the enemy.

Both are lame with regards to the "solo" idea. There is also a third alternative but CCP is working hard on destroying it by making ship designs more and more straight forward and expectable:

c) Find a niche ship with a crazy fit and engage well selected enemies by completely surprising them with the fit.

Plexing is best done like this: cloaky alt sitting outside the gate to the plex. You enter, orbit the button. Someone appears on gate, leave. Come back when they aren't on dscan of your cloaky alt. Rinse, repeat.

Getting fights is best done by getting into highsec and ambushing the unexpecting toon. Chances are great that you'll be outnumbered anywhere in FW space, so you really do have to roam for hours looking for a fight (when jumping around between Amarr and Jita will get you there much faster).

Fleets are either great (getting in with people you know and good FCs), or laughingly fail (your random fleet in Militia chat).

Missioning? Sure, why not? Find the best mix for peeveepee and PVE on your ship of choice, avoid gate camps, and try to get back into just having fun.

2. WH space. I've done some WH exploration in my venture, and found that it was a lot of fun. Is there a good way to PvP in WHs without losing my sec status?

Last time I was in WHs, killing there did not alter my sec status at all.

Yeah, solo FW PVP is ****. The only people who'll engage you are T2-fitted pirates in their 100m isk faction / pirate ships.

The only way to extract tears from these people is to use stabs, cloak and the cheapest T1 you can find while plexing. Then grief them by cloaking / warping whenever they appear on d-scan. Remember, every time they can't kill you, you win.

Enemy faction pilots are a little more troublesome since some may run down the timer. In this case, just warp out and find a new plex while they're busy.

This Incursus engaged me and an ally in a Tristan all on his own.

This was a pure 1v1 in a plex, navy vs navy frig. So was this

And if you're paying attention to your dscan you can generally avoid any incoming blobs. Where blob=1+ ship more than is on your ship.

Join a corp.

That is all.

This exactly. Join a corporation to help you. It'll do far more wonders than anything you'll get here from the masses. Make sure it's a corp that fits what you want, and not vise versa. Don't get emotionally attached just because it's your first, etc...

I can kinda support this statement that it's the only way to get a fight because most people in eve are too terrified to lose a cheap internet space ship so unless they outnumber you 5 to 1 they usually won't fight. But I tried the joining several large amarr fw fleets and I can tell you i spent countless hours just warping around doing the same thing I did solo but with other people.

The real problem is everyone is so fixated on not losing a ship that they they instead lose the fun as pvp tends to be mostly about avoiding battle.

I'm still looking for a better way to pvp.

I think fw plexes are the best way to find great pvp for the solo pilot. RvB might get more fights but they will not have the variety.

But I would suggest going rvb 1st. You will learn the strengths and weaknesses of each t1 frigate and then can build from there on how to pick battles and how to fit ships so that you can fight the widest variety of popular ships.

If you want to just jump into low sec pvp I would recomend not joining faction war. I would recomend staying out of the war and just fighting in the plexes. When you join faction war you are automatically blue to far too many people in plexes and will not get as many fights. Your sec status will not drop below -5 unless you pod people.

The corp I am in is mostly for solo pvpers. It accepts most people and has helpful forums with fittings and advise. I think its pretty much exactly what you are looking for.

If you want to go FW I would recomend In Exile - amarr fw corp.

Make faction war occupancy pvp instead of pve https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=53815&#post53815
