Hello everyone,

I am not running for CSM 8.

CCP's doing the right thing, they're doing what I want them to, namely spending energy both on improving existing content and adding enjoyable new elements and they're doing it in the proportion that I want them to. They're asking feedback from players and from the CSM and, more importantly, they're listening to that feedback. Everything I've seen this year makes me confident that they'll be following along those tracks.

My objective for all these years since I first got in CSM 2 was to help induce a change of attitude and behavior in CCP, the details of that feedback I gave were my way of inducing that change. I also believed my presence to have been important in times when the CSM was dominated by nothing but 0.0 alliance leaders and utter carebears. The present-day CSM candidates have diversified and matured, encompassing all areas of the game (as a group, even if not every individual) so there is a near guarantee of representation of everything. CCP has also learned when to listen to the CSM and when not, it may sound counterproductive, but sometimes giving players what they ask for may be detrimental to the player's enjoyment of the game.

Now these structural changes have happened, I'm happy to enjoy retirement from the CSM after having been of service to Eve and the community since 2008.
I will now step back into the shoes of a regular pilot, a manufacturer of things to sell to the people I blow up in space :-)

So thanks everyone for the votes over the years. I'll try and provide some measure of feedback about people running this year.

Muchos lamentamos que te vayas, y algunos vemos con preocupación que el CSM 8 se llene de caras nuevas que tal vez no sabrán mantener el espíritu que ha construido el CSM 7.

Many of us regret to see you go, and some are worried that CSM 8 becomes crowded with new faces who may not know how to uphold the spirit built by CSM7.
