The intro sequence for Fred Fred Frederation begins as usual. Vivid graphics flash all over the screen. Humorous and patriotic images such as Fred riding on a eagle and pulling down Tibus Heth's trousers begins. The camera drone then zooms in on Fred from behind the live audience who is sitting at his desk smiling, waving, and laughing with the crowd.

Good evening to everyone across the cluster! Welcome back to the Fred Fred Frederation where everything said is 100% truth. Well everything except for the last sentence. Don't think about it too hard, you might hurt yourself in the process and I already have several lawsuits to take care of. Just last week I went to court because a station owner found my earlobes to be culturally insensitive and racist. But enough about that my friends, lets get to discussing what the hell happened today. If you still don't know, then you probably don't have a holoprojector and couldn't be watching this in the first place, unless you some freeloader of some sort. Just go to a Galnet Caffe and go to the Scope News page and figure out what's going on!

I would like to salute our brave naval men and women who valiantly charged head on to aid the poor Caldari and Gallente people trapped on the planet below. Regardless of your nationality, it cannot be disputed that the Provist on Caldari Prime were brutally oppressing both their citizens and ours. The Vox Populi or rather ours. It seems that whenever people discuss the conflict, they meerely label it as "Provist Vs Gallente". It is far more than that. There are Caldari who no longer wanted to be under provist rule as well, and there are even Gallenteans who were perfectly fine with it. You could argue that our tenants of "majority rule" shined through this scenario and that most people on the planet wanted to be "liberated". When it comes to politics, majority rule is clearly the best way of peacefully settling things. However, when it comes to someones own way of life being changed, is one group's beliefs really more valid merely because more people follow it?

How many times has the majority endangered the peace and stability of nations? Not just our Federation, even the State has seen this. Would Tibus Heth gain power if the majority of people in the State didn't support him at the time? Certainly not. Would the Minmatar rebel against their slavers if only a few were willing to do so? You can clearly understand what I am talking about my friends, majority decisions can lead to great things, and horrible ones. Not going to say which of my examples is which because that will lead to a debate that we've done way too much.

While it's all nice and fun to fly our flag and salute our eagle, we have lost so much and what did we gain? The home world of another group of people. Sure you can go on and say that our attack was to rid our home system of the Titan ominously waiting for orders to strike and in a way that was one of our goals. However, we could of just destroyed the thing, help rebuild Caldari Prime and then back away. It has become clear that conquest is on our agenda, and this is not good my friends.

What do we have to gain from actually holding Caldari Prime? Holding this planet is no better than raising the heads of dead enemies like barbarians. Is that what we have degenerated too? Are we simply barbarians in space now? Mentas Blaque argued that our hedonism is causing our society to rapidly degenerate. We used to be advocates for peace, even in the face of aggression and bullying. Now, our hypocrisy is revealed.

Citizens of the Federation, today we have demonstrated that we are no better than Tibus Heth. We are using violence and aggression just to get what we want. It's absolutely disgusting.

As foul as this is, we are now in a position to do some good on that tattered planet. The choices we make now will influence the cluster for years to come. These moments will define who we are as Gallenteans, as people.

Let us now honor the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives in the name of Democracy. Let us also honor our Caldari brethren who took a stand for what they believed in and attempted to bring fourth a greater good out of this.

The usual light hearted endings to episodes is interrupted as Fred reads off the names of the Gallente deceased, and then Caldari deceased. The studio is completely quiet and some sobbing can be heard from the audience. Fred stands up from his desk after he is finished reading the list

These are dark times we are in my friends. It's easy to celebrate the carnage that we have brought fourth upon our "enemy", but just remember how we felt when the Caldari invaded Luminiare. Remember how we felt when our ships were burning, crashing onto the surface of planets and drifting in space. Think about that my friends. The only thing that makes us different from them is the country we live in. Our soldiers kissed their wives and hugged their children before answering the call of duty and their soldiers kissed their wives and hugged their children before answering the call of duty. Our men had hopes, dreams, and plans for the future that were cut short, and so did theirs.

The only way we can hope for peace to come from this is to remember that Gallente, Caldari, Amarr, Minmitar are all different names for the same group of creatures, humans.

Fred slowly walks off stage without the typical outro. A few scattered claps are heard in the crowd, but not the usual applause. The next Scope News program begins after a brief Quafe commercial.

Hear hear and well said! I feel any comment from me will only detract from the message.

That said, honors to Brawyn, the pilot of the hospital ship Salvation who valiantly, while taking heavy fire recovered and rescued crews of the destroyed ships.

Salvation I was destroyed in the end of the attack, however he was able to get the injured into landing pods and got most safely down to a planetary evac point where I was able to recover them along with many from the planetary population.

Sisters of Eve are now on hand to assist civilian victims of the attack in a section of the Duvolle Labs station at the planet Astrin in Luminaire. The area is considered neutral ground and is accepting all nationalities.

Most urgently needed on the planet is sources of heat and protection from the element for settlements closer to the habitable zone border. Water or water treatment systems also desparately needed due to contamination from ship debris rendering many reserves toxic.

Take heed when making landings. Military forces are still on the surface and may mistake you for enemy. To avoid surface fire, I recommend entry closer to the poles where the detection systems are weaker and being disrupted by debris which still continues to fall.

I would also like to thank Mr. Louvaki for providing shelter to Scope News reporting teams that are stranded on the planet. He is generously allowing us to use his equipment to maintain extremely limited communication with Caldari Prime. The signal is spotty and the news teams can't get out more than a few phrases at a time. However, we are still able to report some basic information such as the status of survivors and how things for the most part, are still very bad on Caldari Prime.

At the moment, the main focus of Scope News is going to be waiting for and commentating on the announcements of important figures during these events.

Can you get your own warcry? This whole rip off 'mimitar victor''gallente victor' has to stop. Get your own.

Yes we can make another, covered in gold and better then before but you'd steal that too so better just nip it now then too deal with this as a repeating issue.

I'm sure with that federal education you can make your own.

Darkness is more then absence of light, it is ignorance and corruption. I will be the Bulwark from such things that you may live in the light. Pray so my arms do not grow weary and my footing remain sure.

If you are brave, join me in the dark.

I didn't chose the name of the episode, in fact I rarely do. If you have a problem contact my advertising agents. The title they pick is merely to gain attention.

I'm not sure whether I should be happy or concerned with out of everything I've said, the only thing you have a problem with is the title of last night's episode.

Because I prefer to be optimistic about things, I'll be happy. Thank you for watching!

Well said Fred. I'm happy that we were able to aid.

Don't hesitate to put our reporting teams to work to keep your facilities going! They probably aren't the best to provide medical assistance, but all should be pretty adept at keeping electronics systems sustainable.

Did you totally miss the message just to focus on one thing, Kithrus? You are a sad excuse for a man. People like you are the reason why we'll never see anything more than a tenuous mutually assured destruction policy and not true peace in New Eden.

When the world is running down, you make the best of what's still around.

No one capsuleer can start, end or decide a war, no matter what they think. It men like Roden, Blaque and Heth that are the problem. Or more specifically, the willingness of so many people to follow them.

Speaking of Roden... has everyone forgotten who it is that owns Roden Shipyards? I wonder how many no-bid government contracts that company stands to gain in the face of the coming war?

And they say the Caldari are hyper-capitalist? Ha!

This whole war is, from the Gallente side, nothing more than a farce designed to line the pockets of one man.

I... didn't expect this. I'm glad I didn't turn off at the introduction and draw my conclusions there.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

Interesting. President Roden would certainly have a lot to benefit from going to war. Clearly he isn't as focused on maintaining peace as he would want the Gallente public to believe. I find it rather suspicious that he hasn't said much, if anything on these events even before the fighting that occurred two days ago. I personally did not vote for Roden as I felt his dedication to his company would come before his dedication to the country. Hopefully I am proven wrong but these events might shed a little truth on the Roden administration.

You cannot say that this whole war rest solely on the Gallente or even solely on the Caldari. Both sides contributed heavily to this and both are just as responsible as the other.

Fred Fred Frederation likes to discuss serious topics with a fairly lighthearted tone. However, due to the events that occured that day my producers and I felt that it would be wildly inappropriate to keep up that tone without butchering the message I was trying to convey.

Thank you for watching. Viewership is very much appreciated, especially during these times.

First you don't even know me, second how does jokingly asking people 'to get their own' equate to war mongering?

Are you that sensitive that someone asking you a question is cause to raise a weapon?

Good, then you can pass on the message to the correct people and I do not watch. Much of gallentean media streams are blocked in the Empire.

For some inexplicable reason (perhaps related to Gallente fantasy holo programming), every time a member of Electus Matari opens its mouth, I hear some green thing shout "For the Horde." It's been that way as long as I can remember.

Maybe they should just run with that one.
