Hey there,

not too long ago, the Battlecruisers have been diversified into Attack Battlecruisers and Combat Battlecruisers, so you can seperate them in your overview.
I would like it, if you could do this too with cruisers, and introduce an own checkbox for Support Cruisers.
There are occassions in which it comes in handy to have only Logi on your overview, and right now if you want Logi & Supportcruisers, you will have all T1 cruisers in there, too.

Just my 1 cent,

Yes to this!

Sometimes it's important during a battle to have the number of friendly or hostile logistics on one glimpse rather than browsing through the overview and making a rough estimate.
Or you need Hostile Logi only in your overview for applying EWAR.
If the enemy uses standard T1 cruisers too, you either decide to go for T2 Logi only, or have the same pain in the butt as without the overview set to logistics.

Splitting ship groups isn't the ideal way to do this unfortunately, as many of you will remember the problems that stemmed from the battlecruiser split in 1.1.

However this kind of overview customization is something we really want to enable so we're investigating some other options for pulling it off. Can't promise anything quite yet but I can say that I completely agree with you that this would be a huge improvement.

Couldnt you split it, and then enable it by default in all overviews? Afaik the main issue from making attack bc its own category was people getting alphaed by nados they couldnt see.

Actually, making em appear on every overview, even those set not for logistics, and make everyone who DOESN'T want it untag it, sounds by far better than forcing everyone to tag it.

Easily solve the problem the way they *should* have for the BC split:

If your overview shows it now, it will show it after. When you split T1 cruisers into logi cruisers and normal cruisers, if "cruisers" was checked before, have both of them checked after. If "cruisers" was unchecked before, they'll be unchecked after.

No idea why they didn't do this for the BC split.

I am confused as to what the point is in splitting them at all if you aren't going to use that as an opportunity to make icons that differentiate the separate ship types as well.

Honestly, it's not too hard to just memorize them. Help your brain by exercising it.

Make it idiot-proof and someone will make a better idiot.
