window mode or full screen

i play eve via a 17" alienware lappy, my question is what mode is best to play eve with, window mode or full screen view?
normally i use full screen, but just lately i have been trying window mode so i can click to an outside game page for reference i could hook up another display but was just curious what other mode laptop user's play by.

smoothest, would i get more fps via window mode or full screen mode, is window mode less intensive than full screen mode?

Assumind your GPU isn't complete **** - FPS will be the same. The benefit of windowed (or fixed window) mode is that you can quickly tab between multiple windows. Which is quite crucial in many situations.
