I have edited my official proposal removing Luminaire solar system, but you do bring up a good point.

Perhaps including the Gallente home world under this new government SHOULD be in the proposal considered by our heads of state, should they take it up, and perhaps I should rehire my staff?

After all, it is normal to impose sanctions against aggressors for crimes against humanity.

I personally do not believe that any change in soverignty is needed, but the system be created as a demilitarized zone. Originally I had in mind for CONCORD to take over security detail, but my faith in both their abilities and the merit of neutrality have been called into question as of late. Ideally, a joint peace keeping force between our two navies would take over and any member states belonging to the Federation would be free to take up security of their respective air and space zones locally.

This would, in my mind, help foster trust and cool diplomatic relations through joint purpose.

Excellent points.

I don't think it's necessary to take the Gallente's home planet from them, but it may be in both sides best interest if a framework of neutrality could be established in Luminaire so both sides can peacefully coexist. Rather than just that system, though, it might not be a bad idea to establish a corridor of shared systems leading to Caldari space (possibly between Luminaire and New Caldari to link the two nations' capitols) for civilian traffic.

A joint peacekeeping force would be a good idea. It would certainly work for the Caldari, much of our internal security has long been at the hands of the megacorporations' private security forces rather than the navy. I am not sure how the Gallente would respond, though. Possibly, it should be separate from the navies, but draw members from the Federation and the State.

Whatever the case, a joint task force would help foster relations between the two nations.

I still say, its a problem of duality, neither can own, neither can abandon, so yes, as we have spoken in other threads, let the planet be shared... two people, two cultures, and each govern each other according to their own customs and laws...

The complications runs deaph and it wont be easy, but some things have to start somewhere, and with something, and i think only by living side by side, both sides can grow to respect each other with time... if there is a will there is a way

Can start with capsulars on both sides stepping fourth and saying enough is enough, we can make this start !

Caldari prime has been a Federation planet since before you even had the ability to get into space.
those Caldari who didn't want to remain Federation citizens, and that was not all of the Caldari people, abandoned it 200 years ago.

I WILL however call for the following:

I call to both the Caldari and the Gallente governments to sign an immediate cease fire. I call that Caldari Prime be recognized as both Gallente and Caldari territory, and to be ruled by a government body that is neither purely Caldari nor Gallente.

Caldari prime is Caldari property.

Well nothing on government, but there are rumors Ishukone is pushing for Caldari Prime to become a demilitarized zone.
