The Titan of the Tyrant Heth is destroyed, but at a terrible cost.

I encourage fellow Federation citizens to stop by the Algogille Ship Graveyard where this all began so many years ago. Today the sacrifice of those brave citizens was not in vain. But may we all contemplate the cost of war and the price of the freedom we enjoy.

Could you at least put in a shirt before celebrating the deaths of thousands?

Heth isn't dead or deposed yet, but at least for now a measure of Terror at his hands can end within Gallente Borders.

I hope this victory helps give some of the more level-headed Caldari interests like Ishukone an upper hand within the State at least.

I can agree Heth is a Tyrant, and will certainly mourn the civilians lost in this conflict (regardless of race and nationality), but I will not celebrate the way being open for the Federation Navy to repeat its actions a couple hundred years ago where they bomb our planet, send troops to invade and hold the Caldari citizens at gunpoint to try and steal our world.

This madness does not make us more free.

Any war by and on behalf of a state never gives individuals liberty. It's the individuals rebuking the state that brings liberty.

The only thing that happened today was a lot of death on behalf of states.

Are you really that stupid? Anyone who dares to suggest peace will be hounded out of public life after today. The time to call for peace is not AFTER you attack.

I'd be inclined to agree with Mr. Wolfhammer and Mr. Tuulinen. Violence begets violence, and can't stop until both sides renounce it and seek an end by diplomatic means. Regrettably, neither side wishes to be the first to renounce violence.

You can bet that when someone yells "King's X! The attacks over, time for peace!", it will be the person who threw the first blow.

To the contrary. When diplomacy fails, the time for peace is after you have crushed and shamed the opposition both militarily and in the media. So saith our Lord Crom in the ancient Brutor religion of my former alliance leader.

The conservative State leaders can say "I told you so". Maybe even hire a few cloned soldiers to kill civilians via false flag operations and make Heth look bad. The Caldari can be very subtle I've learned from my dealings with their agents.

Heth has blundered and overreached by provoking the Federation - sending his ships across the border to chase State citizens seeking a better life in the Federation without seeking diplomatic clearances first just shows how desperate he really is in my opinion.

Maybe when we've been crushed militarily. The defeat of one taskforce in a terrible position is hardly the end of the war.

Minor but important clarification.

Caldari Prime has not been liberated. The titan has been destroyed. Caldari Prime is and will likely remain under duress for quite some time. Ground battles are still raging and the situation on the surface is less than desirable. There is still so much work to be done and it involves neither politics nor race.

I must be blunt, sir. I apologize.

This is a stupid statement. Or, more properly, you are stupid. You have deeply misinterpreted it.

Your Lord Crom does not believe in negotiated peace. He believes in the ruination of his enemies.

If this is your intention with the State, you will have to try harder.
