Pre-election for CSM8 are sadly delayed

Gentle citizens.

Sadly we will not be able to uphold the previously advertised schedule due to technical matters. Basically the CSM election section is dependent on an update to the https://community.eveonline.com site, an update that has had Mr. Murphy on its side.
We will be deploying this as soon as feasible – I will be delivering updates as I have them but I’m not expecting this update to go out until Monday.

I deeply apologize for this delay.

We do have a few days of buffer between the pre-elections and the elections and thus this delay should not do any damage to the grander schedule of the election and the announcements of winners at Fanfest.

Me neither, but eventually I noticed this new sticky. It's sad to learn that they ran into unexpected issues on a friday, but I hope this will not affect the original schedule for the final election, once the 5 lesser candidates have been pooled off. Sad

My Bothan spies tell me that the pre-election will start later today.

Several of them were eaten when CCP Xhagen got a bit peckish.

A short update. If you visit EVE Community now, you'll see the new website. So everything points towards a GO for the pre-elections later today.

Hmmm I've been noticing a few issues with the website & saw in the DEV BLOGS that the websites' retooling was implemented today... scheduling the Pre-election with the new community website changes doesn't sound like the wisest idea in hindsigh now does it Blink
