I think it would be rather hilarious is everyone simply boycotted this obviously scripted event, if only to laugh at CCP having to break out their own Polaris ships to down the Titan themselves because nobody else wanted to bother with it.

You have not been reading news have you? The federation has deployed 2 SALTEUR titans recenlty in the system. If you think the PLAYERS will be the real firepower you are delusional.

With 3 wyverns repairing the titan, all those players in systems, most in frigates and cruisers CANNOT kilt he titan even if all wanted.

Definately NOT FW-only.

I was in-fleet for 40 minutes this AM in the person of my Minmatar frigate-popping alt, which definately does NOT participate in FW!
Lol

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

Players? What makes you think players are deciding anything? This is a completely scripted event, and that Titan is going down if CCP have to spawn dev ships and shoot it down themselves.

They didn't write that DUST map for nothing, and by golly they're going to use it no matter what anyone else thinks!

DUST Player Happiness > EvE Player Happiness.

New shiny big console market bucks! The Gods of Marketing have commanded it!

Seriously... why is anyone even bothering with this? All they've done is made a hisec system in another generic FW system for one day and invited people to come watch them do the post-production on the movie that they've already finished & pretend that you're actually a somehow part of it. Yeah, that part being "observer."

Currently over 660 people queuing in Algogille waiting to get in and have been for some time, Those in the wrong FW are getting ganked by the faction police due to the gates not letting them through...

What makes you think they have only one script? Or only one map?

Maybe (probably) the Calderi titan goes down (especially from what I saw of the fleets this AM: Gallente > Caldari by a large margin), but there's nothing barring them from jumping a Gallente titan in and crashing that, if events suggest they so do.

Indeed. One Titan crashing hardly dictates the entire story line... it's simply one preset (and very visual) part of a wide variety of outcomes possible.

Many more Titans could be destroyed (on either side), or only the one... Sov could change hands, or not at all... entire capsuleer and Navy fleets could be destroyed, or it could end in a stalemate.

Apparently the details of the battles that have already been fought in DUST over these same issues has been influenced by the wins and losses of the DUST players involved, there is no reason to believe this will be any different.

That is unfortunate.

Amusing... but unfortunate. Smile

When the large scale battles begin traffic control should ease up a bit due to losses.

I'd die for them to make luminaire 0.0 - since CONCORD withdrawal it would make sense - and allow cynos...

"Caldari Navy Titan crashes on the planet"

30s later

4 player owned leviathans warp in and begin bombing the **** out of the planet

CCP PLS

I assume they have allowed cyno's? as there were 4 wyverns that were player owned in there iirc? (at least i think they were?)

Luminaire about to really become a free-fire zone: CCP 'news' is letting out that the CN has killed a Concord BS, and Concord is about to flag all Luminaire-resident pilots as 'Suspect.'

Things gunna get ugly, real fast, and the congestion in-system may suddenly turn into a rolling turnover.
