"Note: Although a pilot may have only one challenge request active at a time, it is possible for pilots to send successive duel requests in order to expand the limited engagement to include multiple pilots in the challenge"

^That's from the retribution changes site on eveonline re dueling.
Was wondering does this mean one could invite a group of friends one after the other to a duel? And if so what stops you from doing that and then inviting one other to a duel, them thinking it's a one on one and simply all of you killing him?

The limited engagement would be between you and your friends - not between your friends and your enemy.

Nice in theory...but if I were invited to a duel and suddenly realized our mutual target vaporized... Hey! I'm still locked in a duel! In this very easily replaced PvP frig/dessie! And...I've tasted blood...

My, friend...your PvP frig/dessie... is looking mighty tasty right now... *Lock!*

Last man standing, boys! Twisted

So... um... yeah!

you cannot invite others to the "duel".not to the ongoing duel.a duel only happens between the challenger and the challenged person.
Let me give you an example: Person A invites person B to a duel, person B accepts now there is a limited timer on both parties.Person C comes and invites person B to a duel,if person B accepts then he has a limited timer with Person A and Person C but person A and C have no right to fight each other.Or of course person B can only reject the challenge.Bottom line, you can't be in more than one duel if you don't wan't to

So to elaborate, if ner-do-well A engages a duel with tanked alt B in a procurer, and then tank procurer spams the system as a panicked noob and a white knight appears. If that white knight issues a duel on the tanker A, can that alt B then turn on remote reps and or links without risking suspect?

TL:DR is this a way around the unaffiliated logi suspect issue?

Because it would mean they'd get in a fight and they can't defend themselves duuuurh.

I think what Diesel47 is saying is that because it's perfectly fine to gank freighters without asking, asking their permission first wouldn't be against the EULA either.

Obviously no freighter pilot is going to willingly say "yeah come get me without CONCORD caring", but it wouldn't be illegal to ask and try and catch someone off guard.

The only exception to this, I imagine, would be if the freighter pilot was somehow manipulated into clicking Accept.

Edit: When I say manipulated into clicking accept, I don't mean via a scam of some sort, I mean by abusing the way the GUI works, similar to something like convo bombing.

I would imagine most freighter pilots have selected the option to auto-decline duel requests. Hell, that was the first thing I did when they implemented dueling. In a game called Everybody vs Everybody, the idea of "honorable duels" is pretty silly.

I've seen this a few places in rookie systems and what not.

If brute force isn't working, you're just not using enough.
