Instead of giving arms to people to make a stand for their home, I-Reds just pull them out and run to not hurt "poor" gallente terrorists?

Giving guns to business workers, civilians, secretaries, accountants and other people and expecting them to fight against rebels and insurgents willing to bomb buildings would result in nothing more than even more death. There are trained military personnel on that planet with the resources and field training to handle situations like this, leave it in their hands.

I commend I-RED for caring enough about its non-military employees to have them extracted before they are placed in further danger.

Indeed, it is our job to protect them. But our peoples are Caldari, and they can defend themselves as well, and we must provide them all what they need for this. I don't ask them to go to frontlines, but being able to defend themselves it's what they have earned. They are not a herd of spineless sheep waiting to be slaughtered, like gallentean électeurs, they are Caldari, and should we fall, they will take our places and protect their homes!

Giving office workers and metre maids pulse rifles and then sending them into the line is folly. Oh yes it's a grand gesture and I'm sure it looks great in vids. But this isn't the vids. Pulling I-RED noncombatants out of the line of fire is only a good thing and I hope more people follow their example. Fight for your world, but do not force those who cannot to die alongside you. Also from a purely pragmatic standpoint, you want to keep your pulse rifles for the soldiers rather than tying up logistics with distributing weapons to civs.

I do this for many reasons. I do it because I believe it is right. I do it because I will profit by it. These all consolidate into one reason: I do it because I can.

Funny you should say that because the ones currently taking up arms and defending their homes would be the spineless sheep you refer to.

I dislike this conflict and the conditions that have brought it about, but it is people such as yourself that give fuel to the fire.
