Are you saying that losses in this system due to ~nonconsensual pvp~ are normally reimbursed by the GM team if the crybaby loss-ee petitions it?

Crap, I'm a Caldari loyalist who just dropped the militia.... should I rejoin if I want to fight alongside the Caldari? I want to support the state in anything that goes on tomorrow what's the best way to do that?

Do I need to be part of the militia to support the State or can I do it independently?

If the system TiDi's down to 1/10th speed, will the event really finish in just one day?

To everyone, apparently you do not need to be in any particular corp to be in this event.

You're best to stay out of the militia. It's still going to be a Gallente system, so the Faction Navy will still shoot you.

Thank you for your insight, but I'm assuming that normal high sec rules won't apply tomorrow...

We won't be disabling all high sec rules (mostly because there are a lot of rules we can't disable without risking breaking everything).

In some other post CCP said turning off the navies is not possible, at least not now.

CCP Falcon wrote:

To clear up the most common question:

It's not physically possible to just "turn off" factional warfare NPCs, or the status of a system as a Factional Warfare system. Whether or not players decide they want to depart from the militia for a few days or not is entirely their own choice.

ccp seriously needs to get both their hardware and software scat together. You guys are failing repeatedly, and patch more often than Microcrap. You should be ashamed. We rightfully expect more from an organization that "claims" to be at the developer vanguard.

Ok, I'm trying really hard to figure out what the best route to take is here. Luminaire isn't a "FW system", but it IS subject to FW police. I know CCP doesn't want to give out too many spoilers, and that's cool, but I'm assuming there will be some sort of conflict between Caldari and Gallente (with plenty of yarrs smashing everything inbetween).

My concern is how I can best position myself to support the Caldari in w/e way I can. I want to pick a side in the conflict. I know it's going to be all hell breaking loose but the last thing I want is to show up alone in some random FFA. I want to know how I can join the Caldari forces.... will they be led by a dev? Will organization be left to the players?

Also, the reason I keep asking about being in the militia or not is due to the 24 hour wait period. I don't want to show up to the party and realize I should have or shouldn't have been part of the militia in order to take full advantage of it.

Put in another way: Will the ONLY way to support your chosen faction be through militia enlistment or will independent pilots be able to assemble into militia fleets to help out?

No, I think what they're saying is fly here at your own risk that day. Bugs, server crashes, lag, and any other potentially reimbursable cases will be non-reimbursable that day.

That day, in that system, the logs will show nothing.
The GMs, they will see nothing, know nothing, do nothing to help you.

I'm guessing that means the sec status of the system won't be changed by that post - or else we'd be able to get caps in and log them off so after the event we end up with lots more like the veldnaught in amarr.

You will only have to show up and pick targets, there isn't any need to be in the militia to participate in the event. Forming a fleet with other people is also encouraged.

Low standing rules will still apply normally, i.e. this is still a 1.0 system. But come along and shoot stuff!

Set sec to below .5...remove concord and faction police actions...allow cynos and capitals in... watch hilarity ensue.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

In F&I I suggested they make a new type of NPC class that shows as a yellow cross. To shoot it you got to set your safety to yellow. Actually shooting it makes you a suspect.

Then all CCP would have to do is set the Titan and its escort ships to be Yellow NPCs and sit back and watch the carnage.
