I just looked across eve-kill again, and found this nice BR.

http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_related&kll_id=10905988

Almost all of the ships the -A- side lost have Titans on them as top damage dealers. Basically 10 Titans killed 1/4th of a whole fleet while their own subcap fleet got completely disassembled.

Moms are getting nerfed, we all know (they're also some of the top damage dealers there with sentries). But Titans are alright?

Not finishing post without saying that I'm not aligned to Stainwagon in any way, in fact I don't really like -A- at all.

But damn, this is ********. And it'll just stay that way? Titan prices aren't 75-90b for no reason.

One thing that people have been noticing is that in the raw 1st pass data dump there is a new attribute for ships called iscapital, or something along those lines.

The only thing I can think of is that they are going ahead with the DD's can't target subcaps anymore as has been mentioned prior to now.

wouldn't iscapital be a flag that was already there?
I don't really follow this so much, but I would have expected some sort of flag for caps and supers existed already

Its a new attribute, and I was mistaken on the syntax.

The correct is [+] isCapitalSize: 1.0

+ indicates [+] - effect or attribute has been added to item

Though to be fair, that raw data is still in first pass as many of the dev's has said. So there is no guarantee the stuff in it now will carry over to tranq after testing.

I don't think that using the doomsday weapon on sub-caps is what the OP is complaining about here, but the use of tracking links to make the Titan's other weapons good at targeting and hitting subcaps. After logistics ships getting DD'ed, the Titan kills all use either "Unknown" or a Titan Class weapon turret.

Oh it appears that the doomsday change where it can't target subcaps is ALREADY on SISI.

Notes: This weapon can only fire on ships that are capital-sized or larger. After firing, you will be immobile for thirty seconds and will be unable to activate your jump drive or cloaking device for ten minutes.

As per, https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=16713

Might be nitpicking, but at the time I posted the thread you were linking, they only changed the DD's description - actually they still could kill subcaps the last time I checked.

Thank you for clarifying... Though even if its just in the description, its still telling as to what the future holds for the device.

You do realize that currently on the Live server Titans can still DD sub caps?

And that a titan 5 DD is an ass ton of damage?

And so that in a 30 minute flight that huge damage delivered number skews the DPS reports towards the titans right?

I mean its either you realize that or your entire thread is a farce and you were there personally getting shot by titans, if not, you're just misinterpreting a damage chart thats being presented wrong.

EDIT: Thats also the worst BR in history, as its a ton of rus groups shooting each other, with the same groups on both sides so its really unclear as to what actually happened

On the first thing you said: I'm not even complaing about the DD, in fact I'd say that the DD didn't matter in that fight. It's mostly the titans killing stuff with their guns. I doubt the main fight even lasted more than 30 minutes (which would have been what 30 dead ships by DDs?).

Second: The point still remains, Titans were the top damage dealers when they shouldn't be.

How do you not understand that the Doomsday is what put them up that high in the first place?

I literally just explained why damage reports like that are bogus, the Doomsday is a single shot high damage yield weapon that breaks damage reports.

As a titan pilot, I can tell you that when you jump into a fight like that, its to DD triage carriers, and command ships, both of which allow you to get HUGE damage numbers in final reports, because you are nuking huge amounts of hit points in a single shot.

You kill a carrier by dealing 1.2 million hp worth of damage in a single shot and suddenly theres no way that the sub caps will ever be near you on a damage report.

Its not the guns that got them up that high, its the dooms days.

In fact, if you had went through the battle report you'd notice that bombers actually killed most of the dead BS, the titans were just barely scratching them, and by the looks of it that fight was a lot longer than you think it was.

In fact, I'm trying to figure out what your point is at all, AAA hardly lost any BS at all, WN brought in supers, they lost a BS fleet, some carriers, and AAA doesn't seem to have lost much in the way of anything, most of which has nothing but Aeons and Abaddons on their loss mails.

I found one dead AAA Armageddon with a single Titan on it doing 9k damage, then about 30 bombers doing 3k each.

Obviously this means bombers are overpowered.

EDIT: Maybe if that eve kill BR wasn't such garbage you'd get a better picture but its like you saw titans used in a fight, and made a thread, even though it doesn't see that the side that used the titans did much at all in the fight, and that somehow that was thread worthy and nerf worthy.

I think you should learn more about the game before you make any more threads.

EDIT: Ok I've gone through about all of the AAA BS loss mails and I have 2 examples out of all of them to prove my point, both of which have Titans on them.

One is a blatant death to an Erebus:
http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=10906050

Note the erebus did 48k damage, but then notice down a little lower the Avatar that did 0 damage at all. This tells me that the BS was at the wrong angle to the erebus, but had enough transv as a BATTLESHIP for the Avatar never to hit. He got unlucky at a bad range and got a little raped by the erebus at 0 transv , then died to something else entirely.

Then we have this guy:
http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=10905801

He got shot by no less than 5 titans, all of which dealt miniscule damage, 3k, 3k, 3k, 5k, 5k, why, because Titans track battleships that are actually moving poorly.

Even a dread can hit a BS thats sitting still, while its in siege, any knowledge of game mechanics at all would allow you to dissect that BR without having to make this terrible thread.

Amazing. Supercap killmails show how much damage they did on the whole field instead of vs the person who was killed.
