Standing Loss from podding suspects in NPC Corps - Bug or Working as Intended? (CCP Needed)

Doing a google search, I see that podding someone in an NPC player corp has always resulted in a standing loss to the NPC corp, like "The Scope"

Some people in Help channel have been asking, and petitioning, to see if this is working as intended when pod killing someone with a suspect flag, or flag that allows them to be shot at in High sec without CONCORD intervention.

Has anyone gotten or found an answer about this?

Google search I did to find threads dating back to 2006 confirming that pod killing players in NPC corps has always done this was "corp standing hit for podding player in NPC Corp". The question is, if the Player in the NPC corp has a crimewatch flag of some kind that makes them a legal target, was it intended that pod killing them would still result in a standing loss with the NPC corp.

Well, just checked and I definitely podded someone on killright like a week ago without getting a standing loss. If killrights get you out of it then maybe it is working as intended...

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

If you need a CCP response, as your forum subject seems to indicate, asking on the forums is the incorrect route. File a petition, and be as specific as possible. That is the only way to guarantee CCP seeing and responding to the question.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

What if you have no flags and pod yourself while in NPC corp? What kind of hit is that? Do I get killrights on myself?

Podding a suspect does not result in standing loss.

Not true.

https://zkillboard.com/detail/28796024/ cost me 42.8571% when I podded him as a suspect in Jita

https://zkillboard.com/detail/28669736/ cost me 42.8571% when I podded her as a suspect, I podded her twice but only one hit

https://zkillboard.com/detail/28626351/ and https://zkillboard.com/detail/28626354/ didn't lose any standings at all and this was an illegal gank.

I have many others that are messed up like this as well.

Whoa, petition!

Petition...

I have podded many suspects without any sec loss.

They aren't talking about sec status.

I got -4,29 standings with Aliastra for killing one GCC-flagged pod where the pilot was in said NPC corp.

Well I got my response back from the GM
Quote:
Greetings Securis,

While a player being suspect or criminal will allow them to be shot without CONCORD intervening any corporation they are a part of may still disapprove of the action and give a standings penalty for attacking a member or asset of theirs, even if it is a suspect that is in an NPC corporation. If you have any additional questions or matters we can assist with please let me know.

Best regards,

Thing I don't understand is when I podded the guy who wasn't suspect or GCC, I lost no standings, but when I pod a suspect or GCC that I lose standings. I don't get it and to be honest I don't really care as it's just standings with NPC, but something does seem to be broken.

Cannibal, to clarify, yes the standings loss is with NPC not Concord. I did lose security status with Concord from ganking the pod but not with the NPC that the toon belonged too.

You need to file a bug report rather than petition. You can do it on the support page.
