MacBook Pro purchase

Folks,

I'm planning on buying a MacBook Pro, and a key consideration is for it to run Eve Online while I'm traveling. Funds of course are limited, so I'm not going with the Retina Display models.

I could buy the standard 15-inch version, which seems to match or exceed the recommended specs for running Eve on a Mac. Graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 512MB of GDDR5 memory; standard RAM is 4 GB (expandable to 8 GB).

Native resolution is 1440 by 900 pixels, which make for a somewhat more crowded screen than on my 2011 iMac.

Optional upgrades, of which I could afford just one (and could also easily skip):

1680-by-1050 high-resolution.

1 GB memory on the graphics card.

8 GB RAM.

Any suggestions? Would any of those changes DRAMATICALLY improve my experience of Eve Online?

Note, I am buying a MacBook Pro and not a PC laptop; I'm aware there's more choice in games on a PC laptop and that Eve runs a bit better on PCs, but for other reasons this is the laptop I'm buying.

Many thanks in advance for your input.

Resolution wise, the 1600x monitor is a great choice. I'd check to see if you can third party ram upgrade (And whether apple allows you to do that in your country, I can in mine, and did in mind), because 8gig is really a minimum these days for comfortable computing.

CPU/Graphics wise, any modernish mac will absolutely hammer, so no worries there.
