How can you have a consensus opinion with any validity, how can one even determine what that is, if everyone at CCP is against everyone else at CCP? Further, if EVE was truly meant to create a hobbesian universe, then there wouldn't be any corporations, nor Concord, nor functioning infrastructure - like a trade hub, or customs offices, nor sentry guns, and probably very few stargate links between systems. Use of the word "we" in the above quote seems ridiculous as well. There is no we in a hobbesian world.

1. They're unrelated quotes. From what I understand CCP has a pretty good corporate atmosphere.

2. The idea is that your day gets ruined by other people, not NPCs or Game mechanics. And CONCORD does not stop your day from being ruined by another player.

3. No idea what you're on about with Hobbes. But then, I'm not super familiar with his work.

CCP isn't EVE - ie there is no inherent contradiction in CCP being a consensus, and one of its products allowing discord.

A hobbsian sentry gun would shoot you because you did something explicitly forbidden. A non hobbsian sentry gun would shoot you because you did something that was not explicitly allowed. Hobbes was always cogniscent of the costs of the rule of law, so one imagines he expected the sentry gun to exist, just as he couldn't possibly have wished the musket away.

Also a hobbsian monarch would send concord to avenge your unprovoked shiploss (ie implement the rule of law), a non hobbsian monarch might not feel compelled to hold up his end of the social contract or might not exist.

A logistics Corp that can't supply its with simple fitting. Might I suggest 'replacing' the directors of the said corp.

I would love to keep the New Order supplied the New Order with ships but I don't see the future in it since the sole goal of the New Order is to blow industrials/haulers up with the said items!

PS. Perhaps your moon goo friends might help you out.
