I remember there being more explosive damage in this mission then what is listed, perhaps my memory is faulty but didn't Zor also used to deal EM damage?

Its not possible to please all the people all the time, but it sure as hell is possible to Displease all the people, most of the time.

On a related note; does anyone know how to properly shield tank fit a regular Domi (not navy) without using faction or deadspace mods? I'm a sucker for using cheap fits. Sue me.


The following fit kind of works, but without omnis in mids, the gardes have really weak range. Also no prop mod. I tried playing around with the mid slots some more, but had a hard time maintaining a decent tank.

The MJD really adds a "Oh god its all gone pete tong get me out of here" element to the domi, sniping with sentries does work but it takes quite a while, you could also try going max sentry damage to kill as many rats as possible, as your limited tank begins to crumble jump away.

On the limited number of missions ive done, Ive found mjd very handy for killing warp disrupting/neuting ships with safety. But for killing other bs rats at 100+km will take too long.

If you really want to mission, maybe consider the rattlesnake. It does everything the domi does, but makes a very good shield tank, whilst having the same benefits to drone use, and you can use missiles and so exploit what ever flavour of damage your rats are weakest too. It is sad but that ship is just a superior dominix.

The MJD version sounds fun ... but for isk per hour its not very good ... if you have to run away from rats and resort to sniping tactics the amount of isk your going to make goes down quite a bit against a ship that can just stand there and smash right through them. why not just go crapton of dps and kill them before they can even dent you. Although i guess this may not be possible due to low skillpoints for some people.

The rattlesnake can not even touch the dominix in mission efficiency .... domi is a dual dmg bonus hull and one of the few subcaps that can reach past the 2000+ dps mark(Navy domi for sure .. reguler domi is probably close). i would really like to see a rattlesnake do that with its 4 launchers.

it can potentially have a monster tank but then again so can the dominix if u wanna dual rep it with faction reppers or whatever.

The ship that can finish the mission faster is going to make more money which = better ..... unless your trying to roleplay or something or if u think grinding the same missions/anomalies/sites over and over again is somehow fun after the 1000th time.

I dont really think grinding rats or missions is fun at all ... in fact is boring as hell and i only do it when i got nothing else to do at the time. Mainly i just do it as a source of isk to fund pvp, plex's or other more entertaining endeavors. I try to get my pve crap done as fast as possible while making the most isk per hour i can and thats why big dps ships tend to be better in my eyes.

The rattlesnake will make far less isk per hour than a competent Navy Dominix pilot. A Gila can do missions about the same as a rattlesnake and its a cruiser.

Dont get me wrong the rattle is a great ship and all that. but i would never use it over a navy domi for missions. it simply generates less money in the wallet blinks.
