Hey linux guys !

Since the patch I've had some black square on some ships, like on this one : http://www.freeimagehosting.net/9ljsg

I've tried pretty much everything I could think off, including wiping my prefix and reinstalling eve from scratch...

Wine version is 1.5.19, graph card is a GTX460, and using the proprietary drivers. Other than that, it work even more beautiffuly than before the patch (no more seeing the reactors through the ship, no more "sparkling effect" on metallics...

Anyone has encountered this bug yet ? I've been unable to find any reference to it...

Now that you mention it my Venture is missing some panels, I haven't noticed any missing from any of my other ships.

I have a Nvidia GTX460 with the 310.19 driver.

I have a fruit cup and I'm not afraid to use it.

Same ships missing some texture panels off the ships with shader set to high or medium.

Setting to low fixes the issue you also loose shadows etc. Doing that.

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
Nvidia Driver 313.09 Video card Ge-force 460 GTX
Linux Kernel 3.5

Wine 1.5.19

Fresh install of Eve in its own prefix no dll overides.

Not all the textures are missing only the ones around the faction logo of the ship. Everything else is unaffected.

Yeah, lowering the shaders solves the problem, but makes the game far less pretty... dilemma... Cool

Still wrong after upgrading to Wine 1.5.26 and Nvidia's 313.26 driver.

I have a fruit cup and I'm not afraid to use it.

Wow, next time use a real image service, like imgur.

Second, dump your cache after changing your shader, it should fix itself. Just hit escape and clear your cache.

Make sure to clear the cache on the login screen, not after you have the game loaded.

Will try the cache stuff tonight, but if I remember correctly, I already tried this.

Clearing the cache did not work for me.

I have a fruit cup and I'm not afraid to use it.

Yeah, most likely is a side effect of your current video drivers is the only thing I can think of. But hopefully, the game is playable.

Who would have thought you would need fancy graphics drivers for a spreadsheet game.

Well, I love my Myrmidon, it's sad to have it uglied by some glitches. However, yes, the game is totally playable, which is the most important !
