One thing a lot of sites are (rightfully) pointing out: Under the lead of Riticcelo EA has (sort of) turned away from it's previous antics of buying up studios and killing off franchises.

They never stopped doing that.

I just wonder what this means for the future - Will we go back to the EA of old or will we get a fresh, new EA which actually respects customers?

The latter is highly unlikely.

The moment EA managed to ruin what was imo one of the best game series in KOTOR with the awful awful awful thing that was TOR, I lost any faith in them being able to produce a decent game that didn't involve kicking a ball around or hitting things with a stick.

Meh, KOTOR was overrated. In the first game your so-called "choices" didn't do jack. The second one had more content cut than left in and what was left was a buggy, half finished train wreck.
