Hello,

Had a guy try to scam me last night. I knew what he was doing, but i played it stupid.

It went like this.

I have a contract up for an expensive item in highsec.

This guy starts a convo with me & says that he is interested in buying the contract.

I say great, let's do it.

He says that there is a small problem. He is in lowsec & cannot get to the station to pick it up.

He asks would I deliver it to the lowsec system with my jump freighter and he would pay me a fee for hauling it.

He said that he could provide the cyno.

I said that that was very kind of him but I have a small problem too.

I told him that I can't get to the contract because of wardecs, but if it wasn't for the wardecs, I would love to do business.

He said that he really wanted the contract & wish I could help him out.

I said, wait a minute, I can help.

I told him to buy the contract & use a courier contract with Black Frog Service for jumping to lowsec.

I even linked him Black Frog's forum post.

The guy logged out of convo, didn't even thank me for coming up with a solution to his problem.

Do people really fall for this scam?

You might want to schedule a doctor visit. I think your right pinky finger has a nervous twitch and hovers dangerously close to your Enter key.

The look on JF pilots faces when they expect to see station on the other end.... and instead see sun or empty space filled with ships with red and yellow boxes....

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?
