Please ask in-game in Rookie Help and in Help Chat. There are plenty of people who can answer your questions within seconds. For questions that do not get answered try the section New Citizen Q&A.

To your question: weapons are F1 through F8, but you can also rearrange the modules. See also the ESC-menu and under short cuts for further info.

OP, the quoted post contains relevant information. But in addition, you'll want to lock the target either by ctrl+clicking them or using the overview.
Actually, pre-locking by clicking the gun first and then the target (in space) works much better.

Run the tutorials. You can't just hop into the game and think
you can play ... it's not that easy. Actually, it's not easy at all.

Nonsense, you press F1 while it is locking, you are wasting precious tiny fractions of a second.

There is no such thing as a fair fight...

If your fighting fair you have automatically put yourself at a disadvantage.

Sure, but the tick happens within fractions of a second from when you push the button, be ahead, not behind.

WTF did this guy do in his first month of play if he does not know about targetting and activating modules?
