Just once.

The problem is that it's Iceland… if you're unlucky, it's just that time of the geological cycle and all the water smells of sulphur anyway, so showering almost makes it worse. Lol

EVE is a harsh place. Therefore, just as scam bots are allowed and tolerated, so will the body odor of fat life-less nerds be allowed and tolerated.

EVE is harsh place. Its part of the game, don't ya know?

In this post 9-11 terrorist infested world we live in, I will assume you're using some horrible aerosolized contagion, and beat the living **** out of you to save my fellow con goers from the terrible infection you are trying to spread.

Also, my general dislike of being sprayed with random **** by people I do not know may play a part in my response.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

Just make sure you wash before getting inked. And follow the instructions about washing after getting inked. And just wash in general, at least three times a week if not every day.

Clean water and covered sewage were the two greatest medical advances in the history of the human race. it's a shame more people don't recognise this.

Yes, but now that we no longer have that, what will we do now? (If you think your water is clean, go have it tested) ....Lol

If it's too offensive, just make it a security and health risk and ask them to leave and shower. Just take em aside and let them know.

Some might say that's offensive to them and embarrassing, but that's no reason others should have to deal with near vomit inducing stench. Just pull them aside gently and whisper that they need to do SOMETHING about the BO or they will be asked to leave until such time that it is taken care of. If they get aggressive and pushy, show them the door.

I would think the smell of alcohol and vomit would mask the BO smell. Granted it does make it worse not better.

I do this at work to any employee that has bad BO. It's a valid safety hazard...

Exactly. There's no reason to say 'HTFU' to bad hygiene coming from a fully grown adult, anti-social or not. There is no reason whatsoever to be uncivilized and filthy in public with a horde of other people. The only reason would be insanity or something, in which case you shouldn't (and most likely won't) be at Fan Fest, but enjoying it from a padded room.

Geological cycle? No, the hot water smelling of sulphur is a year-round thing. If you're lucky, the hotel heats its own water, eliminating the smell. But in most cases, the hot water will smell like sulphur.

After a few days here you don't notice anymore though.

I got the impression that it comes and goes in potency, but if you say so. It could just have been a matter of picking different hotels at different times. P

The result is much the same, though, and waiting a few days to get used to it (for those visiting fanfest) often means you're already on your way back home by then.

The smell is actually in your mind more than on you, and it's mostly because you continue to smell it in your residence even after you've been out of the shower. About a half hour in the open air will make you forget about it entirely. 1 bonus to hot spring showers is that you never run out of hot water. Ever.

Personally I don't think I could ever attend fanfests. I have a hard time just walking through a wal-mart on a busy afternoon, I think being elbow to elbow with deodorant-less people would be too much to handle. Even one person inside of 2ft can bug me.

I would think drinking enough alcohol would mean you can't even notice the BO...or anything else while passed out.

Problem solved.

took baths.

baths have been very popular since the ancient mediterranean cultures started building huge public houses specifically for the purpose of bathing. and they remained popular for thousands of years. it was not until the late middle ages when baths took a break from european (and i stress european because everyone else was still bathing lol) societies. all because some nutbags decided and convinced the general populace that bathing was "bad for the health" that nudity was shameful. even for the purpose of bathing.

we've since relearned that bathing is marvelous (thank you 1600-1700's) trade with asia) and that everyone should do it.

except perhaps if you have a water allergy.
