FW - are allies free kills?

After being blasted to bits by a Minmatar militia member, I "learned" over militia chat that allies are free kills? I suppose this is a valid form of piracy? So it's basically a battle royale between all four factions?

You get a serious faction hit every time you attack or kill a friendly militia member. It doesn't take long until you are kicked out.

Yes, they are free kills. They only risk getting kicked if they kil their own militia. There are plenty of ways around that too. In essence minnies show up as purple to gallente but you should not casually trust them. Same the other way around..

Add the Militia column to your overview, and minimize it as small as it will go (you can see the first letter of their militia).

That way you can differentiate between minmtar and gallente militia. (or Caldari and Amarr).

I follow a simple rule regarding militia pilots: If they're not blue or in my corp, I don't trust them.
So the entire time I'm around them, I'm ready to shoot, already keeping at range... all that jazz.

Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?

Almost everyone else I know has had it happen a few times.

Not everyone has their overviews set up properly. And because quite a few veteran militia pilots have low security status and trigger fingers "friendly fire" often happens... which is often met with... equally... unfortunate results. Twisted

How did you Veterans start?

There are actually quite a few awoxers who use the 7 day standing "feature" to bounce between corps and others in 3 man alt corps (2 toons with high standing, one awoxer). Adolf is by far the most infamous and persistent. Most of the others get bored of killing friendly militia members and either move on to other things or take a few weeks off here and there from awoxing. In other words, treat purple as potentially hostile. This has also been compounded by cross-militia awoxing, since you now get the same purple benefit to sneak up on your prey without playing all the alt corp/corp hopping games to stay in militia.

Well you are Gallente, not Minmatar right? So kill them.
There are no standings loss involved in killing allied militia, only the same militia.
