LUMINAIRE – A Caldari Navy spokeswoman confirmed this morning that retired Admiral Visera Yanala has been drafted back into service. The unprecedented move comes after widespread unrest erupted on Caldari Prime late last week, in response to a breach of the Gallente border by Caldari forces.

Welcome news in hard times.

I wish the honoured Admiral all the best in her duties, and offer the unequivocal support of my humble organisation, and myself, should such ever be required.

It is truly a wonder of modern technology that individuals that once would have been considered our retired forebears in our chosen careers may rise again and lead through experience when we need it the most.

Time will only tell if the Federation recognizes the resolve of the Caldari people to commit ourselves; mind, body and spirit, to the securing of the Caldari home world in the face of continued attempts to wrest it from our control. Listen well to your Doves and re-conciliatory elements, Federation capsuleers. You stand to come out with a lot of blood on your hands if the matter is pushed, and it has been proven time and time again that your culture in particular judges that harshly.

If we're listening to our Doves, who among the State shall they make peace with? The Caldari have had five years to come to the negotiating table and settle the question of Caldari Prime. Instead they have left a fleet threatening utter destruction on our doorstep while they imprison or murder our brothers and sisters held hostage on the world you call "Home."

Citizens of the Federation will never bow down to tyrants, any true citizen of the Federation would be willing to fight and die for his or her freedom and individuality.

The people on Caldari Prime are fighting not merely for their livelihoods but also to their right to exist in this universe, cold and uncaring as it may be.

This 'Home' of yours is just a 'Home' to them as it is to you. As usual, your skewed perspective only makes you look like the hypocrites that you are with the usual "It's only wrong when it applies to others." prattle I've been hearing so much lately.

This is what you are being.

Indeed. We are.

You share that hypocrisy, pilot Mekhana.

Invaders and occupiers calling us tyrants while they cowardly hold the civilian population hostage and secretly operate concentration and death camps.

Only the Summit could produce such a gem.

I agree, the notion is ridiculous.

Suitably, you came up with it.

I dislike this "true citizen" phrase it implies that there are also people that are not true citizens of the Fed.

The 'true citizen' fallacy is well-known. It's used to guilt onlookers into agreeing with your argument whilst undermining your opponent's position and making no attempt to make your stance more credible.

It can sufficiently be ignored.

Well this is interesting news.
I wish Admiral Yalana the best of luck in her new role, the current situation clearly requires a great deal of experience, discretion and wisdom, both of which I am sure the admiral possesses in spades. Given the amount of firepower at her behest, I pray for her judgement to remain clear, and for her to keep her weapons cool unless the tactical need demands it and even then only to prosecute military targets. This war doesn't need any more atrocities.

I do this for many reasons. I do it because I believe it is right. I do it because I will profit by it. These all consolidate into one reason: I do it because I can.

Kiddo, here's a tip for your next argument:

When the opposite side brings up a point, always counter this point with something relevant supporting you.

At least next time try to point out my fallacies instead of just proving my point further.

If the Federation had ancestral claims to New Caldari and hypothetically held there a world hostage, you'd probably not be too happy either.

That much is clear to me. It is just sad watching a failed nation embracing its own corruption and hypocrisy, arguing against a failed State that can't live up to its own ancestral values. That and willful misinterpretation is 'in vogue' if the current conversation is anything to go by, and I always so wanted to be popular...

May the admiral prove to have a level-head and a strong will. We're going to need both for the future.

Breaking news - they don't.

The Caldari, however, hail from that particular world in Luminaire and do have a claim. Nice of you to acknowledge at least that.

So, all that pointless bickering aside - I want to wish the good admiral the best of luck and express my confidence that her experience will see us all through this crisis.

Ruthlessness is the kindness of the wise.
