Hi!

I can fly gallente ones: ares and taranis. Which one would you advice to use for this epic? Accorded to info about this Epic i found taranis would be a good choice because of bigger output DPS.

I am not certain a single interceptor can handle all the missions in the arc. Certainly not with ease. You either need a buddy or an assault frigate.

Or do it the easy way; a stealth bomber.

Ishkur has been known to handle this quite nicely. I know it's not an inty but if you can fly the taranis you can probably handle the ishkur.

Ishkur is a nice option. I have better skills in drones than in gunnery.

However agent says in every phrase: there guys want to see you in interceptor. That's why i ask.

Navy Comet?

It's fast, packs a decent punch with T2 blasters, has some flexibility with the 2 sets of 3 light drones, and even looks pretty damn good P

Ishkur's are awesome indeed. A taranis is a really good interceptor though.

Go with the Ishkur - pilots in my corp have happily run this just with an ishkur. (though that was some time ago)

I did this with a hawk when it was on the test server before launch.

No issues as far as I remember.

Lost a couple of Interceptors on the test server, Ishkur cleared it easy.

I would suggest flying down with a Viator if you can fly them, and fit your Ishkur once there.

Those arcs are designed for interceptors, but that doesn't mean you have to run them in interceptors. The encounter mission acceleration gates do limit you to frigates (and ?destroyer) though so your choice is T1 frigs, faction frigs, assault frigs, interceptors, stealth bombers, and (I suppose) covops frigs (and ? destroyers / interdictors).

Interceptors, doesn't really matter which, can handle the encounter missions but the going can be a bit tough especially when you're up against the nastier named NPCs. Interceptors are better than assault frigates for negotiating your way to, and thru, the nullsec areas where these missions are located.

Assault frigates (I have used wolf and ishkur, and wolf was better) have no difficulty at all with the encounter missions. Without a scout, an assault frigate is a little less safe than an interceptor for moving around in nullsec ... slower to align-and-warp and slower to power away from nasty ppl if they scram / point you.

I've used interceptors and assault frigates, but not tried stealth bombers (but probably should), and have settled on running them in tandem (two characters accepting the arc missions at the same time) and using a wolf with a covops cheetah as scout, hauler, and support.

Solo-interceptor v. solo-assault-frigate? That decision depends on your risk preference ... interceptors are a little better for travelling thru nullsec while AFs are a little better for completing the actual encounter missions.

Which interceptor? No easy answer. Stiletto was fine, taranis is likely to be fine.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

Gurista arc is the easiest since there aren't any tough "boss" characters (unlike in Angel one). I completed it in a standard missile/laser Hound a week ago -- and before that in a Buzzard (no joke).

Most interceptors and faction frigates will do fine. Make sure you have either a rep or an MSE and preferably something that can be used from a distance like SMs or drones.

well. i'm finished there.

have chosen Ishkur. Prepared 2 fits: for missions and travel fit. Main outgoing DPS: from 5 hobgoblins. It was quite easy. Last part i finished with travel fit: cloak, mwd, 2 warp stabs, inertia modifier. Maybe this fit can be used for all missions in Epic too.

Main problem was: neutrals.... Pirate
It is quite difficult to feel comfortable when you have fight like 30x30 outside of a station.... Shocked
