Lol by thinking that the game is mainly US based.

But understandable to a certain extent given CCP's inexplicable decision to use US English rather than the real thing.

Clearly they recognize the superior communicative qualities of the American language over your odd english dialect.Big smile

What odd English dialect?

As a dual US/UK national I doubt that I have an English dialect of any sort. Big smile

Apologies then. My assumption was based on your absurd comment about US English somehow not being the real thing. Mainly just like to aggravate UK guys by calling it the American language.

This is pretty far off topic anyway.

But in general (sure there are exceptions) a lot of them have brains and don't shout as hard as the US guys.

Can we call them "bad players" instead of US players ... ? The Caldari State of America sucks enough as it is... Cry ... not to mention Amarr down south...

Thats just because we got all the good US players, while you have the US version of the chinese farmer.

Eh? How do you figure that?

No need for apologies, but my comment wasn't absurd. Only English as used by the nation that created it can possibly be the real thing - any other version is by definition only a derivative.

Television and politics mainly, but I also happen to have a substantial number of UK/EU peeps in corp. Most UKs tend to make the distinction very clear. Not that this is a bad thing mind you. Merely noticeable.

Just curious if anyone lives in japan since this game I think is mainly US based.

Leon, there are many Japanese players in EVE and quite a few Japanese corporations. You should be able to find one no problem.

Maybe ask these guys: https://gate.eveonline.com/Corporation/Neko%20Neko%20Honpo

Seconded... the zone I'm in is like 50%+ German from what I've seen. Plus you've got that one entire region ruled entirely by the Russian Mob Alliance. For me that the whole fun of playing MMOs... to be in a a fleet with people from England and Germany at the same time (although in most games I swear I am always completely surrounded by Australians).

True! There is this one big group in game that is very Japan-centric... Cardio... no... Cassabla.. no that's not it.... umm... oh yeah, the Caldari State. Blink

How very odd, considering that the UK is a member of the EU.

Don't underestimate the Portuguese, Mr. Poirot. After all EVE is not too much different from the Discoveries... just with space ships instead caravels. Smile

Not actually from the French side :). Moreover I didn't mention the Portuguese.

Spain might potentially beat Belgium, but I've never know many Spaniards willing to learn proper English (I've lived there for two years, so I believe I can safely say this). Anyway, it's hard to say, there's many more Spaniards, but they just may not feel like using English.
