Hello,
I've only been playing Eve a few months now. As a disclaimer I realize my character is many years old but thats because I started this account back in 2004, played for a month and quit. Now I am playing regularly and having fun.

On to the main question. I wanted to get into market trading and planetary production. Can anyone give me some advice or point me to some tools that might help me get involved in those things and be successful?

Ideally I'd like to make a few hundred mill isk a month so I can fund my accounts without a subscription. Obviously it won't be quite so easy at first but that is my eventual goal.

Tips from the veterans would be appreciated.

2001? That would be a neat trick.

I would direct you toward YouTube.com, google.com and the eve wiki. Search any of those for "planetary Interaction" and you'll be on your way.

GL and see you in-game.

Ah fixed. I guess it was 2003 or 2004 then. That was so long ago it's hard to remember when you started playing somthing that was only for a month.

Anyhow I was looking for something more in depth than just Wiki's. Most of those are just basic how to guides. I was hoping for information from someone who does it regularly currently.

Hi Harbonah

I would recommend checking out the Evelopedia Market Guide if you are new to the trading aspect of the game.
Finding the right way to manipulate the market for your own gain, is up to you to figure out.

A great way to get started with Planetary Interaction is to check out the official video tutorial:
EVE Online Planetary Interaction Tutorial

If you are looking for a bit more advanced information, I know EVE University has made a number of very extensive guides and articles on the subject: http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/w/index.php?title=Planetary_Interaction

I would recommend you start by making a few high security colonies. The profit might not be huge, but it's a good place to start. If you enjoy it, you might want to move on to lower security levels for higher yield on the harvesters.
I've personally found uncharted space to be very profitable.

Good luck!
