I personally like the undock camera view as it is. If you were just looking out into space it wouldn't look so cool. And as people have said you actually need to see where your going to warp there. Use the overview.

Bookmarks don't show up on overview. Need to be able to right click on space to warp to a bookmark. Having the station fill your entire view presents a problem there. And the seconds it takes to zoom out or pan around can make a difference.

Welp, it WAS like that exactly when I started playing 3 years ago. The change was a bit startling.

It wouldn't as the camera would be located within the station model. Try that and see what you think but I doubt you'd find it an improvement in graphical terms Blink

Actually it was quite cool, especially exiting the Minnie stations that have that exit tunnel. You rode out literally down the tunnel in a cool way. I miss it tbh.

Whoever uses InstaUndock bookmarks by clicking in space,
does it pretty much wrong anyway,
because he already wastes valueable time that way,
instead of using P&P.

The only problem here is the user.

Welp, I honestly never thought about using P&P. Guess that solves that problem.

It is a bloody awful camera position yeah. To the front left of your ship would be a welcome change. It would be far better than having your screen blotted out by the station geometry popping in every single time you undock and are trying to right click in space.

Or, left click on the "star" icon next to the system name in the top-left corner of your screen

There is no bridge.

The Capsuleer replaces all command staff and the Capsule replaces the bridge.

tell that to all those caldari ship with massive glass domes.

(also , capsuleer ship still have crew , some of which might require a bridge for :reasons:. )

So how is it that the bridge location is marked on every ship diagram produced by CCP's art department?

Not all ships are produced for Capsuleer use.

In fact, all Capsuleer ships are modified versions of standard crew and command staff ships.

In other words, they do in fact have bridges.

The bridge location is still physically present, but it is likely filled with hardware - perhaps the relays for converting capsuleer input to instructions understandable by the crew.

Remember, you can doubleclick any folder in P&P (works with rightclick too) to make it a seperate window.
I always have P&P open, otoh, because it can always come handy to suddenly make a bookmark.

The bridge will still be there, But the capsule isn't in there and doesn't have windows. So yes, ships still have bridges and even if there are people in that bridge, we as pilots arent. and thus cant see out of that bridge.

^^this

Also, arrived expecting upset sounding post about how CCTV has been badly nerfed in the 300th Century to the point where we can't see what's going on outside a station...leaving bemused.
